Do Not Heat Taco Shells In Toaster Oven
It causes fires, lol;) :p
Guess I'll use my Christmas money to buy a new toaster oven to use until we get the oven fixed, lol. |
that's USUALLY why it says or has a picture of a conventional oven on the taco box.
I'm sorry to hear about your fire. Important thing is that no one got hurt........you didnt get hurt did you? |
I'm sorry you found out the hard way why we shouldn't put taco shells in toaster ovens. ;) I'll remember that for future reference, though.
Something I learned--don't heat those Pop-Tarts with the icing on them in a regular toaster...or if they break off down in there, be sure and clean it out because...well, it can catch on fire. :p |

Wrong. There's one exception:
You can reheat Jack in the Box tacos in a toaster. |
Thankfully, I turned around just in time and saw the flames inside the t. oven and unplugged it.
Luckily, no damage except to the toaster oven:rolleyes: ;) although I thought that hubby might start a fire on the wooden deck but I convinced him to put the oven on the grill instead. As for the poptarts, I've noticed that the some-or-more's get really really hot! Think I'll send this as a reminder to my niece who is off to college next fall!;) :D |
