Re: The Passing of Linda Johnson’s Mother

It is with great sadness that we inform you our International President, Linda Daniel Johnson, lost her mother, Ann Mohr Daniel, on Tuesday morning, September 20, 2005, in Columbus, Indiana. Our thoughts and prayers are with Linda and her family during this time.

Born in Clifford, Indiana, on Sept. 15, 1930, Mrs. Daniel was the daughter of Charles and Mabel Pruitt Mohr. She married William K. Daniel on Aug. 17, 1952. Mrs. Daniel was a graduate of Columbus High School and Indiana University and had been a first-grade teacher at Garfield Elementary School and a Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, PEO, Monday Literary Club and Columbus Service League.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. (Central time) Friday, September 23, 2005, at Hathaway-Myers Dignity Memorial Chapel on Pearl Street in Columbus, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Columbus, Indiana, to Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. Online condolences may be made to the Daniel family at www.mem.com.

International Council was already meeting in Denver and sadly will not be able to attend Mrs. Daniel’s funeral in support of Linda. We are sure that Linda would appreciate the support of any sisters near Columbus, Indiana, who are able to attend the visitation or the funeral.
