Doing Gooey Buns Mix for week eats, but think I will do Chicken tonight.

One BBQ and one Shake and Bake. Using Shake and Bake, use Pork as gives Chicken more flavor.

Baked with Mashed Taters and white gravey, with cream corn!

skajeff 03-05-2006 04:41 PM

Really does depend.. ELC is in town and everyone is going to PF Chang (asian restaurant).. so I will probably eat something there. If not, my mom is cooking a roast, so I can inhale that too..

Decisions..

chitownxo 03-05-2006 05:36 PM

Tonight is tre-colore salad, slow simmered corned beef with oven roast potatoes and onions, and ginger flavored flan. We will split a bottle of bone dry Pro Secco to start and have some Egri Bikaver with the corned beef. I haven't had any for years but it should go well. With the flan I'l have a cocktail of Stone's Ginger Wine and Scotch. I think this is called a Whiskey Mac. I had this at the Mess of the 5th Battalion RGJ in London. An acquired taste but it speaks with authority.

IKEA frozen meatballs and their packet of sauce.:D

honeychile 03-13-2006 11:21 PM

I saw a chicken casserole recipe about a month ago that looked interesting, printed it out, and immediately lost it. I remembered just enough about it to make it tonight, and it was VERY tasty!

It had chicken breast chunks, croutons, chicken soup (that should have been sour cream, but I didn't have any), mayo, milk, celery, and shredded Swiss cheese. I've already been asked for the recipe!

IKEA like the furniture store? I've never been, but I didn't realized they made food as well.

Tom,
I prefer a good dark beer with corned beef, but Egri Bikaver is one of the few reasonable cost wines that can stand up to Corned Beef. However, my date wanted wine and since she was cooking it seemed fair that I bring what she wanted to drink. It went pretty well but I agree the taste is too strong for any wine to work really well with.

mulattogyrl 03-15-2006 06:37 PM

salmon and rice

DeltAlum 03-15-2006 06:48 PM

A great steak & shrimp cocktail. A vendor is taking us out to dinner.

Well, maybe I'll have a full size cocktail instead.

That's a joke.

See, a shrimp is real small...

honeychile 03-15-2006 09:17 PM

Panera Bread's broccoli cheddar soup & 1/2 a chicken salad sandwich.

yep, corn beef is not for faint of heart. I am not a big fan of it even being part Irish. Egri B is actually a pretty thin red wine! But normally priced right! When I was in London, it was the only wine adv. in the Underground! Is it still true?

If You can find it and You like a BIG Dry Red, Bertoni, Volpocelli!

Prepare to pucker up as is thay dry. Used to love sitting in front of TV and sipping!

------------------------------------------------------------

Left overs again. Finished up the last of the gooey buns, tater salad and cheeze-its!

Now, got to figure out something new to fix!

Sea Food comes to mind.

Later on the Food Front! Ah, tomarrow is another day!:)
