Is 21 too old to rush?
I'll be an incoming junior transfer student at the University of Alabama next Fall and I'm 21 years old. There was no Greek life at my last college so I want to take the opportunity to join a fraternity now that I can. I don't want to look back and regret not joining a frat and I know I won't ever look back and regret joining one. But would it be weird rushing at 21 years old? I know most guys who rush are typically freshman (18 y/o guys) so I'm just not sure if my age would hinder my chance of getting any bids. Or maybe it doesn't matter?

There's only one way to find out, isn't there? At the worst, you'll meet new people and possibly make new friends/connections. At the best, you'll join. So,what's to lose?

You're going to see a lot of variety in the fraternity scene. I'm sure if you're willing, there's a place for you. I'm assuming from your name that you're a veteran. At least my fraternity at my alma mater welcomes a great number of veterans. In fact, our President this year is a National Guard NCO.
