Model Initiate Chosen for 2012 Convention
 

Ellie Stern, Mu Chapter/U of California, Berkeley has been selected as the 2012 Supreme Governing Council Model Initiate and will be initiated in front of the Convention delegation in July 2012. Ellie is a legacy as her mother is an initiate of Mu Chapter/U of California, Berkeley and her grandmother an initiate of Mu Alpha Chapter/U of New Hampshire.

Every two years, the Supreme Governing Council selects a new member to be initiated at the National Chi Omega Convention. The entire Convention delegation witnesses the new member's experience as her chapter's officers perform the Chi Omega Initiation ceremony. This event has been a Chi Omega tradition and a Convention highlight since the early 1900's. Being selected as the Supreme Governing Council Model Initiate is a great honor for both the chosen new member and her initiating chapter.
