Trend for 2013-Admit Rates Drop in Universities with Greek Systems

Applications to colleges/universities with established Greek systems have increased dramatically in recent years. Admit rates have fallen as a result. Many colleges now have rates far lower than five years ago.

Admit rate is the percentage of students admitted out of the applicant pool. Many colleges have not released Class of 2017 admit rates at this time. Here is a range of universities/colleges with established Greek systems and admit rates: (Data is from the NYTimes and www.admissionadvice.com .)

I often wonder if I would have gotten into Duke had I applied in recent years!

If you're including schools like Emory and CMU, don't forget about Washington University in St. Louis: 15% acceptance rate with an established greek system (some fraternity problems, but Kappa Delta just successfully colonized this semester!).

Washington University at St. Louis will be added. It is difficult to find updated numbers for many of the universities. Most charts only include data for 2012.

I'm not sure if it's the one you used, but this one from the NYT is probably the most legitimate and accurate source (that's where I got the WashU info from).
