Are you from a "pink" chapter or a "blue" chapter?
Hey DGs!
At UBC, there was more of a tendency towards the pink (Recruitment Shirts and Bid Day Shirts were pink), whereas at U of Alberta, there was more of a tendency towards the blue. Thus, I ask you, do you come from a "pink" chapter or a "blue" chapter? |
Our jerseys are BLUE!
|
We tend to be more of a PINK chapter. Our founding sisters shirts are light pink!

Hot pink. My LEAST favorite color, but everyone else loves it, so I just don't order the ones that come that color... come to think of it, I own a lot of GREY t-shirts.:-(
|
We're a grey chapter. hahahhaa
I think the majority of our shirts we get are grey. BORING. We actually just got one pink, one purple, and one yellow shirt in at the in of the spring semester. I think our t-shirt person was starting to realize our surpluss of grey. Heck - our intramural shirt is RED. |
At UH we're the same way! Looking back through my shirts, most of them are gray. I've got a few navy, green, and maroon ones too! We have very few chapters that go by their colors except at Rush time!

Honestly we had shirts of every color. My first year our jerseys were navy blue and you chose your own pattern inside of the greek letters. I hated these. Navy just isn't a good color on me. My junior year they changed to baby blue jerseys with pink letters. I loved these! Now they have royal blue jerseys with bright red letters b/c not everyone likes blue and pink. I can understand that but I personally love our colors! But the royal blue jerseys stand out so well! Let me find the pic! I guess we are a blue chapter. Don't ever remember having a pink shirt! :)

You know now that I think about it - I think we lean more towards pink. I know we were looking at pink polo shirts for philanthropy day during recruitment. I think we decided against it but we are still getting them for anchorsplash. They are the baby t-like polos and then in cursive over the left chest part it says AnchorSpalsh.
We had these old ugly navy shirts with a big anchor and a rope surronding them....let me see if I can find a picture.... http://www.deltagammausm.com/92.jpg Those things have been passed down from generation to generation - hahahaa. This past anchorsplash we all boycotted them and just wore our t-shrits we were selling to everyone. I think the pink polo will be a nice change! |
here are some lovely pics of your Canadian Delta Gamma sisters in the 1980s!! :D

The new members received one as well on Bid Day! :D |
we are a pink chapter I guess...its hard to say beacuse we vary our shirt colors to all different colors. red, green, navy, orange, even dark red (close to garnet :( ) recruitment stitch letter shirts this past year were pink and i dont know about years past.
|
We have a lot of grey shirts too...for our jerseys we pick what color we want...mostly navy, black, or white. But this bid day our shirt is going to be pink...so we're pretty excited. LOL

I'm thinking that we are a blue chapter.
We've had (since I've been in the chapter..1999) a light blue bid day shirt (last year) a dark blue bid day shirt (this year...;) ) a royal blue recruitment shirt in 2001 blue sleeved baseball tee for phc recruitment 2000 light pink phc recruitment 2001 bright pink crush party tshirt 2002 white shirt with blue lettering for Anchorsplash 2002. yea....i'd say we're blue.....:D |
