Poppy (Mom's Dad)- Pi Kappa Alpha
Me- Phi Mu

My Poppy died when I was 4 or 5, so I have never had the opportunity to talk to anyone in my family who understands greeklife. It took like a year for my family to learn that it is pronounced Mu not Moo. Some of them I think will never learn. Its a U not an O.

My Grammy recently found my Poppy's paddle. It made me all mushy.

My dad is a TKE and then I have over 140,000 sisters who are Alpha Gams ;)

I have a lot of extended family representing the Divine Nine. At the last Gray family reunion I attended in Atlanta, I saw Greek licence plates left and right (my extended family is huge and I do not know everyone). After all, my grandma is one of 12 kids :)

I see some of you are like 2nd & 3rd generation members of your sorority, I think that's so cool.

That means thae those members have dedicated @ least 25 years of service to Alpha Kappa Alpha! :D :D See this website of the graduate chapter that supervises my undergraduate chapter: http://www.akaomicronomega.com/index-3.2.html

I think that it is sooo awesome that so many of our families represent so many groups!!! :D Yay for GREEK pride!!!

No apologies necessary. To me, at least, it's interesting because my family is so lacking in Greek alums.
