I agree with the posts about UNC Chapel Hill. I have written several recs this year for UNC.
Being from the South I just can't imagine sending one of my daughters off to any school without recs! It just wouldn't seem right somehow.... |
I don't want to go to work today. There is nothing to do... and the pay sucks. I'll sit there for hours doing nothing at all. :(

HAHAHAHA
So, at work where there is nothing to do, and the pay sucks, recs are DEFINITELY neccessary. :D |
So far I have 2 recs for UGA. If I dont have one for each sorority will I automatically be cut?
thanks |

Okay thank you hopefully I can find more before rush starts!

Ok, I am coming into this post late, but I would think recs would be needed at a school like DePauw simply for the mere fact that two of the six NPC chapters have their Alpha chapters there (Kappa Alpha Theta and Alpha Chi Omega). However, someone from DePauw might have more insight.
I am glad I checked this though, I am writing a rec for someone going to LSU. I told her it is probably a good idea to get recs for every sorority there! |

You say you don't know "many" people - well, ask the people you DO know, and then see if they have friends in other sororities who might be willing to help you. Do this SOON. |
FYI, someone asked a few pages back if recs are required at CSU schools. I can tell you for sure that at CSULB (or LBSU whichever you prefer to call it) recs are not required at all. As a matter of fact I think most chapters wouldn't even know what to do with them :). In the years since I was initiated(wow, long ago now) and helping with recruitment as an alumna(from 94-08) I never once saw a rec...and that was a lot of years.

what about UNT?
|
Can anyone put in their two cents about recs at U Michigan?
|
According to this thread, recs are good to have at UNT but not to the extent of other Texas schools.
This thread about Michigan says that it's great if you can get them (esp. if you are an upperclassman) but not a must. |
