Theta Delta Chi window at my church
Hi guys!
Sorry to crash, but my church, All Souls Episcopal, in Washington DC, has a window dedicated to your fraternity. Your letters are at the bottom of the stained glass window and underneath there is a simple plaque that says: To the brothers of Theta Delta Chi. (Or something like that.) The window is divided into three panels, each panel showing 3 scenes from the life of a monk. (I'm guessing it is Saint Francis.) Does anyone know anything about this window? It's very sweet. I can't seem to get information from other parishoners. PM or respond here. |
Theta Delta Chi Window
Information on the window can be found here:
http://www.tdx.org/shield/TDXShield_SP05_v41.pdf Reverend Sterrett, the founder of All Souls Church, was a founding Brother of the Chi Charge at the University of Rochester in 1867, and served as the leader of the founding of the Chi Deuteron Charge at the George Washington University in 1896. In fact, two of Sterrett's sons, and a nephew were founders of the latter Charge during his tenure as a professor at GW. Again, visit the website for more information. |
Thanks for the info, I've heard about the window, but that's one out of many things with our letters written somewhere. THat's cool.
