$40,000 and Thousands of Hours - U. of Kansas
Rock Chalk Review, an annual big deal event at the U of Kansas, raised $40,000 for the United Way. Thousand of hours of community service were also donated as part of the Rock Chalk Review event.
Alpha Chi Omega was recognized as "most charitable" for raising the most money, and Beta Theta Pi had the highest average hours of community service. Congratulations! There's a fairly long story in the March 15, 2004 Kansan Online ( www.kansan.com ) at http://www.kansan.com/getstory.aspx?...0-c831f45ef19f That article also gives details on which Greek teams won awards for the productions put on at the 3-night Review. |
Rock Chalk is a great event. All the shows are terrific, and most importantly lots of community service hours are given to the community along with a nice donation to the United Way.
