A DG posted her wedding picture in another thread (I think it was RoxyChrldr), and I want her dress. So gorgeous. I'll post the pic if I find it...

This is by far the most boring girly thread I have ever seen on Greekchat. -Rudey |
I remember the stipulation being that I would wear that wedding gown if you dressed up like this:

He has buttons on his collar and something that looks like it's between a single and a double breasted jacket. Why are you doing this to me? How about http://www.zootsuitstore.com/shoppin...bluetuxbig.jpg or http://www.dantetux.com/promkids.gif -Rudey |
You'll win my heart if you wear this:

I don't plan on getting married but..
if I did I would have a small private quiet shin-dig. If it came to it, and i had to do the big party, i would choose this:

A few years ago when my g-dsister got married, my mother was practically on her knees begging both me and my sister to elope. She would pay for the biggest party in the world as long as we eloped, but she will not pay if we have a traditional wedding.
I can see her point because both weddings and funerals bring out way too much family drama....believe me I know. But I want my dream wedding, so I guess I will have to pay for it ;) |

NinjaPoodle, yours is actually really close to what I want. I would like a dress that incorporates some red into it, since I'll be having both a Hindu ceremony and a non-denominational ceremony—my boyfriend is Indian, and I'm not religious, but I still want to wear a big white dress, which I can't do at the Hindu ceremony. :)
I also like these two, which have some nice Indian-inspired accents: http://www.culture-shock.com.au/gall...g/br/br_1a.jpg http://www.culture-shock.com.au/gall...mbr/mbr_1a.jpg This is more or less what a traditional Indian wedding sari looks like, in case you're not familiar (they're usually red and gold): http://www.homeindia.com/catalogue/a...ges/32155s.jpg Has anyone checked out http://www.uglyweddingdress.net? It's hilarious! |
I've been to Indian weddings before, the bride always looks breathtaking in her red sari. Ive been to a couple as a guest and a few as a photographer, so I own a sari of my own as well, given to me by a friend. If I wouldn't get so many looks, I'd wear it more often. It really is rather comfortable and very feminine.
FireCracker....you have good taste ! I love that dress. |
Congrats DWAlphaGam! Sent you a PM.
Do you get to wear the Henna on your hands and feet? PhoenixAzul, I'm a photographer also but I've never shot anything other than christian weddings (Quinceaneras also, which might as well be a wedding:)) I would love to see an Indian/Punjab wedding. Lucky you. |
My dream dress is to recreate this in white:
http://entimg.msn.com/i/gal/Undresse...an_300x435.jpg I would wear my hair in a simple french twist or low bun with fresh white flowers in my hair. I don't think I would wear a veil. I also liked these: http://a1000.g.akamaitech.net/f/1000...ons05berim.jpg http://a1000.g.akamaitech.net/f/1000...iss054047m.jpg http://a1000.g.akamaitech.net/f/1000...cos05lanam.jpg |

And yes, I am planning on doing henna, aka mehndi. I'll probably keep it fairly simple so that it doesn't look weird when I'm in my white dress, though. |

LOL, let's see how long it takes him to get on over to this thread and defend his mama. I bet $5 that Rudey will tip him off. |

PS - She's not going bald - her hair is frizzy, and it needs to be re-fluffed. |
