Taking a Lil

Has anyone's house ever held back a sister from taking a little sister because of problems with her first lil or other problems such as not being active in the chapter, etc? If yes, how did you explain why to the active sister?

my chpater has rules in place about taking a lil that basically state that a sister must be in good standing with the chapter... this means... not on a scholarship improvement plan, doesn't owe any money, and has been attending events..(judged by the point system) It is easy to tell a girl why she doesn't have a lil if she hasn't met rules she should know already. We really can't hold back people from taking a lil for not doing a good job with their last lil... although people who have already had a lil should take second seat to those who haven't had one yet....

Okay...this girl that I am thinking about has had problems with her big also...not getting certain things in time etc. We do the paddle/pillow exchage the night the NM's get in, her last little, who has been in since Dec. has yet to recive a pillow...it's not unusal for it to be a lil late but this late? It might turn up that since we are a small chapter that she might have to take a lil, and I know her last lil (now the pres) is concerned about it so I thought I'd see what you all at GC had to say

My chapter had some problems with women not fulfilling their duties as a diamond sis (adpi's big sis)...Well what our new member corrdinator did was require that all diamond sisters sign an obligation contract...They became very held to this, and if it was thought that they werent fullfilling their contract actions could then be taken since it was in writing that they would preform their duties...Also the new member cordinator also checked with the new members often to make sure their diamond sis was taking care of them.

Yes we did. You have to be financially and academically in good standing. Also, you have to be active enough (have enough activity points) and we had to fill out an application. The application was a thing for one of our New Member Ed people, so I don't know if it exists anymore now that there is someone new in that pos. Priority was also given to older people in the chapter and people who had not ever taken a little before.

I have 3 littles! :) And they all rock!:D
