Mizzou Greek Life consultant report

http://munews.missouri.edu/news-rele...-greek-system/

There's a link in the news story to the actual report from Dyad Strategies. I looked up the company. It is a consulting firm that works with GLOs. (I'm not sure how Mizzou's "very unique situation with external stakeholders" differs from other large universities that have fraternity-owned housing. I note also that most of the analysis is specific to IFC, not PHC.)

Very interesting and eye opening report. I also did not realize that Gentry had formed his own consulting group. Great guy!

They surveyed the GLO members on our campus last year and advisors got the report in August. There was a lot of "hoopla" during the survey window, because many sorority members found a number of the questions leading and/or offensive and/or reflective of negative stereotypes about fraternity and sorority members/college-age students.

The same thing happened on my campus too, but more recently.

A Greek System review was just done at my university, and we are awaiting the results.

I agree most survey companies seem to miss the boat of understanding what people taking their surveys truly desire by asking biased "choose whichever sentence most applies" questions. A survey might leave room for brief personal comment, but after the survey is tallied and presented for public review the report tends to leave out thoughts from the comment area and focus only on answers to the questions they asked.
