Thank you in advance for listening. I have my rosary out and am going to be wearing it down over the next week!

HUGS to you. You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.

I already have a genetic, progressive, terminal illness, which greatly effects almost everything I do. His doctor is will be evaluating him for a degenerative condition, and depending on how that goes, tests will follow. Because of my illness, I am sick frequently. He is the breadwinner in our little family (only a furbaby), and he is so scared that if something happens, he won't be able to provide for us. We are both in our 30s.

I wanted to update those of you who were so kind to me. My husband's condition is still *unknown* but we have eliminated some of the scarier possibilities. Unfortunately, tests take a long time to get scheduled and followups even longer, but we have a lot of strength right now. Thank you.

FSUZeta 12-18-2009 05:17 PM

well, i am going to take that as good news-the scariest things having been eliminated. good wishes and prayers to you both!

I just noticed your post, reeXi. You and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers.

For those of you who prayed for us, thank you. I wanted to let you know that 99% of the tests are back, and although we don't have a definitive diagnosis, the specialist has ruled out the serious possibilities, and will now be focusing on managing hubby's symptoms. Since his symptoms can affect the job he does, we will be monitoring them closely, but thank God, there is nothing lethal or glaringly progressive. Thanks again for the prayers and thoughts. It's pretty amazing that complete strangers can be so caring. :)

SWTXBelle 01-21-2010 08:11 PM

Glad to hear the good news - now I'm praying that the doctors are able to control your husband's symptoms.

But these people are not really complete strangers. You PM'ed me about my cousin's wife because you cared to do so, and they care about your family because they are your people too.

I just noticed your post Ree-Xi. I will be praying for your husband that he is able to maintain and manage his symptoms and for YOU. Hoping that your own health remains steady and does not deteriorate.

Thank you for sharing the update. Though there are still some 'obstacles' ahead, I am glad to hear that the serious diagnoses have been ruled out. May you both continue to be strengthened and lifted up!
