SAI Trivia!

I was inspired by this post about Kappa Alpha Theta's History/Facts trivia and I thought it would be a lot of fun to do this for my sororities! (Sorry if this thread has already existed for SAI). I will start with the first question. :)

Q: Who is the "invisible pipe of pan" that our Founder's refer to? :)

AlwaysSAI 06-11-2013 01:28 PM

^^^There isn't an SAI trivia thread. (:

A: Who is Elsa Stanley?

pas 06-12-2013 07:47 AM

Hooray! You got it. hahaha.

Hmm...

Q: Who was the first sister to be initiated on March 7, 1904?

clarinette 06-12-2013 10:48 AM

A: The first active sister was Blanche Abbott, and Mrs. William Howland the first patroness.

Q: The founders had a nickname for the car they rode around in. What was it?

AlwaysSAI 06-12-2013 12:58 PM

^^^^I've got no clue and have been digging through the history book looking for the answer.

I do have a question, though, when an answer is given!

pas 06-12-2013 01:09 PM

Oh wow, I haven't the slightest idea! And I read that history book cover to cover too! :D

Any guesses out there?

clarinette 06-19-2013 09:36 PM

I'll give the answer, since it's been a really long time. It's Old Stonewall! My chapter named a teddy bear after the car that we pass from sister to sister as a sharing item. I found the information in my Fraternity Education binder (I was co-chair for 2 years).

I'll let someone else put up a question!

AlwaysSAI 06-24-2013 03:46 PM

Two of our Founders died within days of each other. Who are they?

pas 06-24-2013 04:22 PM

Well I know it wasn't Georgina Potts, right? Oh man, I seriously need to brush up on SAI Trivia!

AlwaysSAI 06-24-2013 11:45 PM

Actually......

Minnie Davis Sherrill and Georgina Potts died within 10 days of each other.

Q: Which chapter is credited with the creation of the Ring of Excellence?

AlwaysSAI 07-01-2013 11:37 PM

Since no one has answered.....

The answer is Beta Chapter. They established the Ring of Excellence as a local award before it was a National one.

Someone else ask a question!

SAI voted on our colors. Red and white obviously won. But there were two other color combinations that were on the ballot. What were they?

pas 07-05-2013 01:24 PM

Anyone? ha Bueller?

clarinette 07-06-2013 04:38 PM

I'm going to just guess!

Red and gold, and blue and green.

AlwaysSAI 07-06-2013 05:17 PM

I know it's in the history book but I haven't been home to look it up since Wednesday.

If memory serves me, wasn't brown included?
