Hello All!

I seem to always be reading threads that mention.... My cousin is XYZ sorority or my uncle is ABC. I know there are lots of us that have many chapters represented within their families. So just out of curiosity, what GLO's are represented in your family?

I'll start!

Zeta Tau Alpha
Alpha Delta Pi
Kappa Alpha Theta

and

Sigma Nu

I found out recently that I have a second cousin that is a Pi Kappa Alpha!! Also my grandmother (by marriage) recently found some old college stuff that she was showing me, and she is an Alpha Sigma Tau!!


I know there's folks out there with way more!!

That's all I know of; I actually don't have too many family members who even went to college (I was the first on my dad's side to go and graduate).

Two of my older cousins are members of Delta Sigma Theta

I don't have many male cousins, and none of them are Greek, that I know of anyway.

P.S. currently working on two of my cousins that are currently college freshman.;)

Mother and two Aunts Delta Gamma, Wife ADPi, Grandfather SAE, Mother in Law Tri Delt, Sister in Law Kappa Kappa Gamma.

I am an AXO
Husband: ATO
My cousin and my sister-in-law (husband's sister) were Theta's together in college.
My husband and I figured this out on our 2nd date- one of those random/small world things.

Mom: went to a non-Greek school
Sister: Phi Mu
Her Husband: Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia
Brother: not Greek (his wife went to a non-Greek school)
My Wife: Kappa Kappa Gamma
Her Dad: Kappa Sigma
Her Mom: Pi Beta Phi
Her Sister: Zeta Tau Alpha

Add to that a grandfather and uncle (neither still living) who were Betas, an uncle who is an Alpha Tau Omega, and a cousin who is a Theta.

I'm an AXO, and my sister is an ASA. As far as I know, we are the only greeks in the family.

Cousin - no idea, he was in college when I was in elementary school

My Father: Phi Kappa Tau
That's it, unless you count my cousin's fiancee who's in a local.

Sorry to re-hash an old subject! I used the search to look for a similar thread before posting, and the thread from '03 did NOT come up. Hmmm.... maybe my key words weren't exactly right.:confused:

I think that it is sooo awesome that so many of our families represent so many groups!!! :D Yay for GREEK pride!!!

This search was trickier than some because the search terms -- Greek, family, specific Greek letters -- are so common throughout GC. I found it only because I knew I had posted in that thread, so I could search my own posts only and narrow down some specific words I knew I would have used in my post. I still had to go through four or five pages of results.

Cousin: local sorority of which I've forgotten the name
Dad: Tau Delta Phi
Me: Alpha Phi Omega
Cousin: Chi Omega

That's it as far as I know.

3 Aunts - local at PSU, have to find out what it became
1 Cousin - Sigma Sigma Sigma
2 Cousins - Alpha Delta Pi which is really strange, because at the time each of us pledged, none of us knew that the others were ADPis! We each found out when we saw each others' names in the Adelphean.
2 male Cousins were Greek, but I don't know which GLO(s). My cousins are all much older than I (like 20+ years).

The only Greeks I know in my family are two male cousins;they are both great men--they are both Ques, Sons of Blood and Thunder, men of Omega Psi Phi.

To my knowledge, that's it - most of family before the present generation did not have traditional college experiences (they went later or did the commuter thing, if they went at all).

My fiance's grandfather (what is the term for that?): I don't remember the name, but a national Catholic fraternity that was later merged in to Phi Kappa Theta

my mom was in some local sorority called tau sigma gamma...

my dad was in Alpha Phi Omega...

My aunt is a VERY proud and active Delta-- she owns a Greek Shop in Hampton, VA

And I think one of my cousins is a Kappa

Awwww soror... I just read your wedding site :p ...your list of greeks in the fam sounds like mine...lol... although I am the only greek in my family, my future hubby is a Kappa his twin is a member of our sorority!

My brother and I have 35 cousins (no joke) between both sides of the family and so far we are the only ones smart enough to go greek.
