Hello ladies! I am just OVERJOYED to let you know that I have just recieved a bid from to join the new colony at the University of Illinois!!!! I have been hoping for this day since I went to the first event last semester, and I just cannot believe it's finally here!!!! I am SOOO happy and SOOO excited!!!

We have pledging and bid day activites starting at 11, so I'll make sure to come back and update you about how many girls, and post some pictures and what not!

LP88, welcome to the sisterhood! We are all so proud of the girls at Illinois! Definitely let us know more details when you can, can't wait to see the pics. I was a founding sister of my chapter and I can tell you, you have an exciting future ahead!! :) Congrats!!!!!

ok so no pictures yet... i was planning on taking a picure of the whole new colony, but since there were sooo many of us, they didnt gather everyones cameras... we would just be sitting there forever.. but i know there will be pictures floating around somewhere, so when i get one i'll post one :)

there were 200+ girls that went through axid's recruitment process, and while they had the opportunity to take up to 165, bids were extended to 125 women.

we had our formal pledging ceremony, followed by a picnic and performance by one of the accapella groups on campus. tonight kicks off greek week with the greek goddess/god pagent and we're also going to be making a special entrance!!

Ahh no, we had the Xtension Chords sing to us. The Other Guys are the ones that have the "Morrow Plots" song. ;)

The X Chords did however, sing "I Love Illinois" to the tune of "I love Rock n Roll". It was awesome!

I'm one of the new members too and I have to say everyone I've met has been really nice and we're all so excited. I have some pictures of small groups but like ilovepink said, they didn't collect cameras for a colony picture. I'm sure some will be up on facebook soon and we can snatch em and put em up.

also, i just recieved some more official news with numbers...there were 133 bids extended...and 400 girls rushed!!! WOW!!!
