Use this thread to post any leadership tips, stories, examples, discussions or even quotes that comment or offer suggestions on any aspects of leadership, management, and just getting things done.

I posted this thread so that we can comment freely about anything when there isn't specific thread about a topic. And maybe we'll even generate some discussion threads out of this.

So if you think of something interesting that deserves a lot of discussion feel free to post it as a new thread.

My favorite quote that can be related to leadership is by Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them great and they will show themselves great"

Leadership can mean being the most popular person when you're elected, but the least popular when you're actually in office.

I've always liked the quote in Penguin Trax's signature:

"If you have to go around telling everyone you're in charge you're not much of a leader."

"Being a leader is like being a lady, if you have to tell people you are - you're not."

My one piece of advice - lead by example - remember people (brothers, girls, administrators, IFC) will be watching you.
