I would say Jackson's career is over, but considering the sort of things the man has been caught doing, this is really just par for the course.

In my opinion, his outrage over Obama is over his bottom line. If he can't play the race card because a black man is president...he won't have much money left because that's pretty much all the substance he has. Outrage over whitey and so on.

So how does this mode of argument work? You claim knowledge of which you provide no evidence, and then you dismiss others. It's interesting, but maybe not effective.

Jackson, accurately perceived or not, has a lot of his public image involved in advocating about racial issues. If Obama effectively sells a "post-racial" view to most of America, it does kind of mess with Jackson's gig.

Jackson came to East Texas to speak on behalf of a black family involved in a hate crime a while back......can't remember what it was but we were discussing it over lunch the other day (one of our black landmen started talking to us about his current antics).
