Hell yeah, dude! I love watching that stuff! My cousin was Miss Teen Massachusetts back in the day, but at the Teen USA pageant, she didn't even get into the Top 10. Then, I went to high school with Miss Teen South Carolina. She goes to Presbyterian College now (in Clinton, SC) and is a ZTA! Go Zeta!

South Carolina usually does quite well at Miss Teen USA and Miss USA....their directors must prepare the girls very well... who can forget Vanessa Minnillo (Miss Teen USA 98) from SC...she took it ALL: The Crown, Photogenic, Congeniality and Bathing Suit Overall High Score! The ZTA former Miss Teen SC is Ginny Ballance, but that was a few years back. Miss America a few years back was also from SC, Kimberly Aiken, who was a student at USC.

SC girls usually do well in those national pageants. Being a beauty queen is taken VERY seriously in the south!!! Those southern pageant girls are unstoppable. I voted...of course I'm partial but there were a lot of very beautiful girls.
My question is what is photogenic...someone who is done up with lots of make up to enhance what they've got...or someone who has natural beauty. It's hard to define.

PS. I had to add this but my state's candidate had such a cute thing at the end where it asked her what is the one question you've always wanted to be asked but never have...and she replied, 'Will you marry me.'

Wow they looked so much older than 18 years old! Some could have been married and divorced.

Hootie: Photogenic semms apply to anyone that looks good in pictures, especially better in pictures than reality . . . but there does seem to be categories of people with certain body types and facial features that photographers and designers can almost use like canvasses to express their art. Even though they may not look good at all sans make-up.

I was really surprised how it all panned down...I had thought that Indiana would win...surprised that Massachusetts finished further than Indiana and Texas, just from my opinion that MASS didn't give a strong answer to the last question like IN and TEX did...

thought the final two contestants were strong...though i did think NY would win it, as opposed to Missouri.
