I wonder if the operator knew the answer?

Just kidding. He really handled the situation well.

A couple of days ago we were leaving our house and a guy "fell" out of his golf cart and and cut his head, then tried to stand up, and fell again.

We stopped to help and my wife called 911 and spent at least a couple of minutes convincing the operator of what county we were in. Since we live here, I would guess that she could have taken our word for it.

That just made my day! (that and the fact it wasn't one of MY kids that called!)

That just made my day! (that and the fact it wasn't one of MY kids that called!)When he was about 3, my son called 911 because I wouldn't let him have any candy. He did it while I was in another room -- I walked in just as he was hanging the phone up. I really thought he was kidding when he said he had called 911. 5 minutes later, a police car pulled up to the house.

The police officer handled it very well.

^^^ :) No 911 stories with me and my sibs, but when my mom and I talk we alk on our cell phones so it's cheap. My little brother (there's a 19 year difference- he'll be 3 in December) is certain that he's talking to the pic of me that comes up on mom's phone so he's always trying to show me things and I've spent a lot of time convincing him I can still hear him when the picture goes away. Kids I love 'em when they're somebody else's!;)

OMG, that was hilarious! That kid must have lived in a really slow area for 911 calls that the dispatcher was kind enough to help the kid with his homework.
