Gentlemen... What's up with y'alls skillz with the ladies? I just visited a club that "y'all" go to, and all I see is men drinking beer?

Personally, I have no issue with that. But my issue is, when I go to the club where all the bruhs at, I see way too many scantily clad women--some with silicon parts--jockin' upon a brotha... And the brotha is getting major digits... WTF is that all about? I just wanna know...

As women I think we should all respect ourselves a little bit more. Nothing is more troubling than going to a club and seeing a hoe monkey girl. It is about time that women stop selling their bodies and instead show off their minds. I have no respect for women that do get all up in a mans face with pieces hanging out. It is like saying please have sex with me and then cheat on me. Just an observation

yes I have to agree with Steeltrap next time KD, try using another phrase, second off, I don't believe AKA_monte is saying that she does that at the club, she says she "SEES" and who doesn't see that, when I go the club, I always see those kinda chicks doing they thang and hey if it works for them more power to them.
As for the true question at hand, I think the gamestyle is just different, and the approach is different, and I don't think it's different cause of race , I think it's just the guys personal style. Some kick major game, and some are on the sneak attack tip, but it's all different,least thats how I see. As a female I know we all take major pride in our brains and our smarts, cause I know I do, but when I go to a club, I am not thinking about my brain , it's all about fun, dancing, hanging with my sisters/friends, and dancing with a too smooth guy.

I'm a girl, if you didn't know, but I want to give MY observations.

I went to a small school, about 3600 students. There was ONE bar in the town. I bartended there for a while (which was a blast, but that's beside the point) and got to watch all the 'action' from nutral ground.

From my observations, I have to agree with DGPhoney. I think it's a personality thing and that means different approches. Certain men know what works best for them.

I've been out dancing on the dance floor with my girlfriends or sisters and noticed a guy across the room standing at the bar just watching. Sometimes, depending on the man, they pull it off really well and that would be the best approch for him because I'll notice him and be drawn to his gaze--later we'd bump into each other 'accidently' and exchange conversation/numbers. On the other hand, I've been on the dance floor with a sexy guy and he dances really well and that is a total turn on.

I think perhaps your question stems from the fact that you'll probably see more white men standing by the bar drinking because they (sorry for the stereotype here, but it IS an observation of mine) just don't dance very well. Some white men are great dancers, but I'd have to say that I've seen very few GREAT ones. It doesn't mean they 'don't have game', I'd just say it limits their approch. (my Fiance is included in the 'white men can't dance' theory--I probably turned 40 shades of red when he tried to 'break it down' at his 10 year reunion--I think I was traumatized by that experience).

Ok gotta step up for KD here. Hoemonkey was fine, I liked it. Cant believe yall are gonna bash her for hoemonkey and not say anything to monet. That post lacked any single thread of class.

I have a problem with this. I dont speak slang but I am going to try to wing it here. Are you saying that White men dont have the "game" that other races do? And if that is what you are saying, then we need to know what the predominant race of people in the club is. If it is predominantly one race, and then there are a handful of another race there, then yes, I would say that the odds are greatly stacked against the minority in the club.

If it is game that you seek, then I cordially invite you to my hometown, where you will be greeted by 70 "game" spitting "homies" of my own, who will score the "digits".

sorry guys if my word offended you. But I really do find behavor of some women very degrading and it definately sets our sex back. As for certain races having "game" over others, that is lacking in arguement. If you watch movies then these sterotypes are very real to you. But in the real world guys of all races are players, and some lack serious game. It is a personality thing

I agree Mikki, I don't think AKA_Monet was trying to start a race war on here, but I do think it is important to think about the implications of your actions before hand. What if, for instance, a non-regular, looking to start something had come on here saying something like "Black men have better 'game' because they have gotten a lot of practice from multiple baby-mamas"? How do you think folks would have reacted. I just personally think the question, if legitamately looking for insite, could have been phrased a bit better. Maybe it's just me. It's certainly not the first time I haven't understood one of AKA_Monet's posts, and it probably won't be the last. LOL

ok Kabillymac, i am not personally bashing KD, I am suggesting she use a better word, although this thread is a bit offensive to some, but everyone else who posted came correct, or I'll break it down better was more polite about the subject. So it's your choice that you like the term"hoemonnkey" but some might take that phrase out of content, or think of it as something else!!!! Like I said in my first post, when I personally go to the club, I am all about me, and me having fun, if you put too mcuh thought into what other people are doing, how they are doing it, and thinking about your school , then why did u go to the club, stay home!

Ok - some of us white boys got game. It might be dorky-cute game, brainy game, "look how big a dick i can be" game, backwards/upside-down visor game, or whatever else can exist under the sun, but white guys can rock it hard - although i think someone earlier was right about the white guys not dancing as much bit. Anyway, guys that run game run it regardless of race, location, crowd, etc - they just run it. Which is cool.

Everyone's different...the stroke black kid that comes to a party with a bag of lay's chips in his hand, showing everyone his id saying he's really 23, walking to every girl saying "baby I love you" hasn't got an ounce of game in him on our campus. However one of my friends (black) works the humor bit and "all the scantily clad women be jockin' up on this brotha".

And don't talk to people in their language...because you might just get offended when I start pulling lines from a spike lee joint and talking down to you.

In the meantime I'll work my magic, get my girls (mind you not the nasty ones where my brothers will make jokes about me having to double bag it before I make the moves), and be content with that. And if I ever actually get involved with a girl, I don't cheat on her. I'm sorry if it's different for you because it's definitely a great experience (while it lasts anyway).

First, my Spelman sister seems to go to the wrong places, and was bored to boot. The question, were it phrased more subtly, might have sparked some real dialogue for such a light topic. I am with my other Spelmanite, Eclipse, on that.

I'd be about the first to say that my 'game' skills are pathetic. Then again I've been going out with the same lady for 2 years now. Even when I landed her though.. pathetic would be the word. I'll admit it.

But to speak for others of my race would be going over the line. I would definitely agree though that I find the media portrays black men as 'players' whereas we white men are clueless as to how that works. I would say it's untrue both ways. The original poster has been to 1 or just a few bars and observed us in our natural habitat and drawn the conclusion that we are all similar or the same. That just can't be said.

Maybe its a culture/sub-culture thing?

Obviously there are guys from any background that have "skills" with the ladies. But maybe some cultures or sub-cultures make it more likely that a higher percentage of guys will actually approach women? And maybe some of these cultures actually will let them approach and be more confident, with better things to say.

The stereotype is the nice little white boy that doesn't actually go up to any girls or have anything to say to them if he does, sitting around later bemoaning the fact that he doesn't meet any girls.

Like if God meant him to have a girl God would just magic her into his bed. Although that really doesn't require "skills" just money. :p

I don't mind guys who stand around just drinking their beer with their friends. Those are actually the ones I check out. The guys (of whatever race - purble, blue, white, pink, green, black) who are trying to get up on every girl on the dance floor acting like they deserve to have this flock of women surrounding them turn me off.

Sure, it might look like they have more "skills." But, I guess just in my opinion, I prefer the guys who don't need to dance with every girl in the bar to confirm to themseleves that they are the shit. The guy who is just having a good time without having to show off how many girls he can get is more attractive to me.

Edit: Oh, and how many girls actually want a man who is "skilled" in the art of picking up girls? If you are skilled at something, that means it pretty much takes no effort (even after a lot of practice). So basicly all these men with "skills" are using the exact same thing on you as they are other girls. What is special about that?

I go to a predominantly white club almost every weekend. I love love love white boys(and I have several friends that can dance as well). However, they do lack skills in the digits-retrieval service and usually it's me who ends up approaching them. But that doesn't mean that they are like this all of the time though. In fact, they went straight for the blue jean shorts, dirty high top sneakers, and bandana tie around the neck shirt girls because they were groping each other.
