Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. Closes Chapter at Simpson
July 17, 2007

INDIANAPOLIS – The National Council of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. announced the revocation of the charter of its Mu chapter at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Each collegiate member of Mu Chapter is an alumna in good standing.
There were several factors contributing to the decision to revoke the charter. “The national organization is very appreciative of the work our collegians, local alumnae and university administration did to support Mu Chapter and its members,” said Donna Chereck, National President of Alpha Chi Omega. “We regret the necessity to close Mu Chapter and are deeply saddened. A closed chapter does not diminish the value we place on all of our members.”
The Fraternity encourages the alumnae members to continue to support Alpha Chi Omega as alumnae and to contribute to the Simpson College community as individuals. Mu Chapter has enjoyed its place in the rich history of fraternal life at Simpson College, and it will forever enjoy its place in the rich history of Alpha Chi Omega.

Oh No....AXO house is just around the corner from where I live (literally a block and a half). What a sad thing it is going to be to walk passed it, knowing what is happening.

It is a beautiful house...hmmmm, wonder if it will be for sale :) eventually.....

this is sad. I always get sad when a chapter closes.
