Yeah, but I totally understand the new policies in the wake of what happened at SDSU.

Still, when I went back for pref last fall...it just seemed like there was something missing without the candles...

We just found out about the new policies. I understand why, but it still kinda sucks.

You can get those battery operated candles and they flicker like real candlelight.

Having joined a chapter & advising a chapter where the school has always said no to real flames, I am used to it. The battery operated candles (both flickering or regular) work well - no one else can use real candles, so its not like the other chapters have an advantage or anything. PM me if you need info about using the fake candles for pref & other ceremonies.
