University of Miami head football coach really needs to step aside. After Coker fired half of his staff last year following a straight beat down@ the hands of LSU in the Peach Bowl the Hurricanes are in even worst shape, w/ a losing record, a damn near riot and now the shooting death of one Hurricane player on his watch it's clear that Coker lacks the skills and leadership to be the head Coach @ Miami. I've haven't seen the CANES in this bad shape ever... even when they were on probation in the mid 90's.

Its gonna take some serious work to reign in Miami. Not recruiting felons may be a start.

I suggest you check out Miami's graduation rate and then check out the number of incidents of players arrested, then compared them w/ other NCAA D1 schools like say Ohio State, Notre Dame,Kansas State and LSU. I'm sure you'll see that Miami (since the probation of the mid 90's) have been on their best behavior until recently when Coker let it go to hell.

I don't really view LSU or Ohio St. as classy teams either. Miami is in a tough spot, it can be a rough town and attracts some sketchy folks. FSU has a similar problem, south florida can be a place loaded with talent, but also a fertile ground for creating disciplinary problems. This being said, I can't say Coker's to blame for Pata's shooting, although if he was involved with some violent people then maybe Coker should have been more aware of the situation.

Firing President Donna would be a wise move as well.

Knew that was coming. Miami was trying to get Spurrier late last week or earlier this week. He told them he was not leaving Columbia. :D

I don't think the U really wants Spurrier, but I believe if a real offer was made he would leave Carolina for Coral Gables.

I highly doubt Spurrier would leave Columbia and Augusta National for Miami. HIGHLY doubt.

Clemson did score 28 but Carolina scored 31!! :D :D
And I also doubt he want to leave a program that had a minor mess (which most has been resoved) to a program that has a HUGE ONE.

Miami is expected to pick Randy Shannon as it's head coach on Friday, Randy Shannon is the long time defensive co @ Miami. I think he is the best pick for Miami all the players and the majority of the fans love this guy besides that he is a DAMN good football coach!!!
