Sorors and friends, if you haven't heard, check out this article.

If you are "pro Tavis", get on the move and be about it, don't just talk about it.
Although I don't frequent BET often, this is one program (of few) worth watching and retaining for the more mature and intellectually stimulated viewing audience.

The price of restructuring, I guess, along with Emerge becoming Savoy...
I suppose we'll see another video program in his place. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif

Well, I guess tonight will be the last time I watch BET...I will listen to what "Sell-Out" Johnson has to say, and then no more. I refuse to continue to support a mediocre channel, when there are so many others I can watch in its place.
FYI-I am boycotting all Viacom channels and anything remotely connected with them(No more Nick at Nite http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif )

Hi Soror, Did u watch BET last night? What did they have to say? I was trying to listen to Bob Johnson on the Russ Parr Morning show but a call came in not more than a minute after he was talking so I missed it :-(
What did u think? Can I get a run down?

What would yall do if you found out that Tavis's firing was justifiable?

Although I have not personally worked with Mr. Smiley http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif , I doubt that his firing was really "justifiable". I feel like his "boss" was the sell out and that because Tavis would not compromise, he was seen as a no longer useful hole in the payroll for BET.

Don't get me wrong; for the most part I agree with you. I don't have enough facts for me to conclude either way. I feel for Tavis-if he was treated unjustly; on the other hand, if IT WAS STRICTLY BUSINESS, then to hell with them both!

I got an email stating that Robert Johnson, offered Tavis his job back. Is this true? I looked for it in the papers and didn't find it. Someone please tell me what they know

I don't know whether or not Tavis was offered his job back but if he was, I wouldn't take it. I know the whole situation was unfair and everything but for all the drama it caused, I don't think it will be worth it. I think Tavis should go to a network or do something on his own to where he is REALLY appreciated. I don't feel that BET has done that.
