Shoe addicts I need help

I figured you guys might be able to help me out. I have been looking for a pair of kitten heels in brown. Of course my town is lacking in the shopping department. (Most clothes are either for the bar types or the Matron types.)
Any leads?

I've never bought shoes online. How do you (personally) know what shoes will fit? Do you just go by what size you usually take in that brand? I own shoes ranging from size 8 to size 9 1/2, lol.

And I would not recommend Aldo, after I just bought my first pair of shoes there and they were ruined within about 2 or 3 hours. Very poor quality! Though they were so cute :mad:

The cool thing about Zappos is that people can write reviews of the shoes, and they'll say whether something runs big, small, or true to size. I'm a 7.5, so I'll start there and then adjust based on the reviews, and usually order up 1/2 size for sandals. I don't think I've ever had to exchange anything I ordered from them, but I think they offer free exchanges.

Really? Did you take them back to the store? I bought a pair of shoes from them in October and I wear them a lot when I dress up and go out and stuff and they're in great condition.

Yep, took them back this morning. So now I have a gift card to use... not sure if I want to buy another pair. They have cute sandals and stuff, but I really need shoes I can wear to work... Blah. Lol

Haha don't get Aldo's then. The shoes I got are these really hot stilletos, and it took me a while to break them in. But until I did, they used to hurt like hell. You're def not going to want that at work.

I think the coolest girl's shoes (and guys shoes too) are from this company called Irregular Choice (http://www.irregularchoice.co.uk/home.htm). They're really funky...and I know that's not what you asked for...but check them out. You can often get them on ebay too.

I have a pair of brown mid-heels from Steve Madden that I LOVE. They're called violet, I think. Adorable, and shockingly comfortable - in general, Steve Maddens make my feet hurt, but this pair is amazing.

Ooooh, I love Irregular Choice! Sadly, I haven't been able to find a store over here that carries them (well, that's even remotely close)...but that's probably a good thing. :p I did find a pair online that I'm thinking about buying as a reward for when I finish student teaching in a few months, though.

All the shoes I LOVE are out of my price range... I am a broke grad student... I can't wait to graduate and get a real job.... so I can feed my shopping addiction!! (Right now I work on campus, alot, rewarding but not monatarily)
I saw a really cute pair from Steve Madden... I love Steve Madden's shoes for dressing up, but I wonder how comfortable they will be when I have to wear for eight hours.

I just bought these. They came today (free shipping) and I LOVE them.

I sometimes have trouble finding something I like on Zappos - I have to know exactly what I want (in this case, a black pump) and then go looking for it.

I will say this, though: for a wedding last April I had to have "white strappy heels", and Zappos was GREAT about returns. Didn't charge me a thing in shipping, and it took just two or three days.

(edited to specify I ordered one pair, they had pink trim, and I had to return them - NOT that I returned them after wearing them in the wedding. Ew.)

I actually used to have a pair very similar to these (before my puppy chewed on one of them :() and I always wore them with both suits & a dress... although I think it would depend on the type of dress you would pair them with..

See, I go more conservative with shoes when I'm wearing a skirt - I guess I figure they show more, and therefore figure more into the outfit. I'd be way more likely to wear pink shoes with a suit with pants than with a skirt. To work, anyway.

looooove Kenzie shoes, especially their casual flats. The fall line wasn't great, but I like what they put out in the Spring/Summer... their prices are great too
