Has anyone bought nalia off of an internet site? If so, did it meet or exceed your expectations as far as quality, color, size? What internet sites/vendors have impressed you the most? I am looking to purchase some nalia on-line but I wanted to here from people who had actually bought things on-line and were satisfied with their purchases.

Soror,

I have never bought nalia online. I have heard so many negative things from people who have that it has detered me from buying. If anyone knows of any good sites, PLEASE enlighten us! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Hey, Ladies!

GreekCirlce.com is great. They have a program that allows you to customize your selections online and actually SEE how it will look. I've used them twice and have been more than just satisfied. Oh - they have GREAT customer service practices. THEY wil call or e-mail you if they are unclear about what you want. AND....they will call AFTER you recieve your items to see if you are a satisfied customer. Tell 'em Serenity sent ya! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

I've ordered off of www.collegecrib.com.

I really like their stuff. Good customer service. I received my things in 2 days, couldn't believe it.

i ordered some stuff off www.simplygreek.com. i wasn't at all impressed w/the quality of their items or the service. i waited more than a month for my stuff (forgot i placed the order) and got the run around, as to why my order wasn't filled. once i received the items, i wished that i had just cancelled. oh well, live and learn...

This is my second time ordering from simply greek. It took over a month for my jacket to arrive and I also ordered a shirt which they didn't ship with my jacket:confused: So I had to call and complain and my shirt is supposed to arrive today. Last time I ordered a sweatshirt and asked for a medium, they sent large...:(

I've ordered from The Greekshop - I think they're at http://www.thegreekshop.com - but this was years ago. I bought the most fantastic line crossing jacket from them, and it still looks great - even if it's too small for me now. :(

Their customer service was excellent, the owner is greek (as is her husband, I think) and she was a joy to work with.

This was back in 1998 but I bought a gang of things for my sands, my former boyfriend and me for our Greek Anniversaries from www.stepshow.com

I received everything I ordered in correct sizes and I still wear all of my things.

I had no probs what so ever. http://www.thegreekshop.com is also wonderful. A few associates have ordered from there.

www.meetgreeks.com has a plethora of Greek Paraphernalia websites as well as www.greekstreet.com

I remember when collegecrib opened their website and they were trying to sell a pelican off a dove to Sorors...LOL...needless to say, I haven't been on that site since, added to the fact that they were charging people for a subscription to get their catalog mailed to them. I would suggest that you not use stepshow.com to buy para cause I know of many greeks(deltas included) who did not receive their para but were charged for it. I keep checking out http://adgreek.com but I have yet to buy something from them. Also, I purchased something from http://paracentral.com , but I was disturbed by the fact that they sent what I ordered not to my ship to address but rather the address on my card. I would say that greekstreet is a great resource to find online paraphenalia sites.

My two favorite internet sites are collegecrib.com and greekgear.com - yeah you have to pay for college crib's catalog, but our chapter has a policy of supporting our own and their service is good - however, greek gear has a huge assortment of items. Primeheritage.com has good service too, they do custom chapter scrolls, wood and glass products.

Don't write off ebay either, a lot of their greek stuff is new. I've ordered from simplygreek.com too, but they take a long time to ship. Years ago I did an order with stepshow.com and it was a HORRIBLE experience - I don't think they sell para anymore.

I noticed you have Connect Sports on there -

I had a horrible experience with them. They charged my credit card twice, for starters. Then it took them 8 weeks to actually get me the item, which was supposed to be a thick quilted baseball-style jacket, and it ended up being a crappy windbreaker. It was dirty (had blackish brown grease stains or something)- the red front stitching had black thread running through it (which last time I checked was NOT one of ASA's four colors) and the back cut-out of "Alpha Sigs" looked like a two-year-old had done it. I tried to call and get my money back, but they wouldn't refund EITHER time that they charged my card.

Do the ringtones really work?.. I'm always wary that I'm gonna get a bunch of charges to my cell bill if I download that stuff. How does it work?

Sistergreek, I will try to break it down to you as best I can. First, the ringtones really work. I have 3 tones on my phone right now. Second, you have to have the web on your phone. I didn't have the web so I purchased it and then cancelled it after I got the tones. Third, you pick the tones you want and they each cost 2.99 per tone. Before you actually buy them, you need to make sure your phone will be able to download these tones. It will have you pick your wireless provider and the type of phone you have and they will send you a text to make sure your phone is compatible. If your phone is compatible, then you can buy the tones you want through paypal and they will send the tones to your phone in a text and then you save the tones on your phone. So far I haven't received any "unexplained charges" on my phone bill from that site. Since you pay through paypal there is nothing else for them to charge you for. Sorry this is long...hope this helps!

Also, if you have the type of phone that can play MP3s, you can use them as ringtones. (That's what I do, but my phone is kinda like a PDA)

I can't speak for or against the others, but I'd highly encourage anyone to give Stuff4Greeks a try. The owners are Greek and just nice people with quality embroidered merchandise and excellent customer service. They even have a store quite close to downtown Atlanta: http://www.zeuscloset.com/.

So I've an update on my missing order. I called today and the gentleman said it was an oversight and they caught it doing their end of quarter audit. Said I should have my shipment soon and they normally don't have that problem. He did give me a tracking number, so at least I know it was indeed shipped :)
