Actually he died in a car crash during the Dawson's Creek college years. Don't remember exactly when, just that it was the last year I watched it (first year of college).

I thought Dawson's dad died of a heart attack. Now that I think about that, though, I probably just made it up.

Nope it was the ice cream. I just went back and checked the TWoP recap and this is what they had to say:

I think he was picking up pizza. I remember Dawson and mom being excited about something and telling dad that they wanted pizza. I think it was raining too.

The dad was out to get milk for dawson's baby sister. Dawson wasn't even there he was in Boston b/c Joey had called him drunk and they were having issues. And the other driver actually fell asleep at the wheel and was coming toward Dawson's dad.

This is why Dawson was all mad at Joey after his dad died and kinda blamed her. And then there was the scene where Pacey takes Dawson to the scene and tells him the story that this guy had been working late and fell asleep at the wheel...

I know i'm a dork, but hey thanks to TBS and a few school breaks i've seen a lot of dawson's creek re-runs.:p

Daweson...sister? Daweson's fine ass mom and his buff dad don't like eachother. They are divorced.

Since when did he have a sister? is she half or something. Did he meet her in college ?


Also, the other day there was this episode where Joey was at the ATM and she almost got jacked by some dude. Well he got shot I think by some gangsters, and like a dumbass Joey just stood there and waited for the paramedics. I would have kicked him whle he was down, got my shit back and then jacked him myself after he jacked me. but anyways, what happened in the rest of the episode? becuase I had to turn off it off to study, since TBS distracts me.

But if he wouldn't have been picking up the ice cream he dropped, then he would have noticed the car coming and been able to react.. so it all goes back to the ice cream.

And after Dawson's parent's got back together, they did it and his mom because pregnant.. therefore he has a little sister.

I don't remember him blaming Joey at all, he was blaming himself. That is why Pacey told him about the sleepy driver.
Mitch did ORIGINALLY leave to get milk, but got ice cream too. Later on Dawson's mom asks him to go get milk and breaks down sobbing after she realizes. WHen Dawson gets the milk,he goes to the same store his dad went to, talks to the clerk, who says his dad had told him he was proud of him, and Dawson breaks down.
