Sorry, yo.

Bobby,

I am placing my alum/advsior hat on with this one. This is not humor or a display of appropriate fraternal brotherhood. While we all know that Tom can handle the light-hearted teasing and you intended this in jest-there is a real possiblility that feelings could get hurt with future posts down the road. Sorry dude.

oh c'mon man. Please lets not be so panhellenic and lets have some fun. We all know I love Tom Earp like he was my grand pappy.

You wanna know whats funny that you mention it? I kind of forget that this is a Fraternity/Sorority message board sometimes. I guess its because I primarly only post in the chit chat and entertainment forums where i wish the political BS of being a greek would just go away. I like these forums because we can just be ourselves.

My next vote is Moe to the Ron and Rudey.

YES. I agree.

The point is not in being Greek but making fun of someone. Yes Tom and you may have a great relationship However, the next person who posts a message about someone may not have a great relationship about that person. Do you see my point now? That person's feelings could get hurt. This has nothing to do about being Greek.

Humor is a funny (no pun intended) thing not everyone has the same standards of what is humorous. I do not find making a list of the most wierd people on GC has anything to do with humor. Also there are appropriate places for certain types of humor-yeah this forum is more laid back then the rest of GC on the Greek cultural aspect-I was only making a point that in my opinion a public forum is not the most appropriate place to teasing people that they are wierd no matter if it was even in jest or on Friday night at 3am. Perhaps this type of teasing is best reserved for those close get togethers with close friends when people can see each other face to face.

just my two cents
take it or leave it

BobbyTheDon
06-04-2005, 03:29 AM
oh my. ok you said your peace. You gave me your two cents. you are up at 3am. i am up at 12 am. You don't think this thread isn't funny. I really don't care. You have grand children, I have no children. The sky is blue and Asian people are Asian. Now, since your humor is no where near as great as mine, I have a tip for you. Just leave this thread. I can rip your post to shreds, I can pick apart every line you say, but that is not what I do. I don't have the patience to do so, and I really don't care enough to do so. Besides, only Rudey does that.

I am glad you have a good sense of self-esteem. I am going to bed. Us old people with grandchildren need our sleep.

Enjoy lifes experiences-some of them can be real whoopers if you are not careful. I have a feeling you will learn about those all on your own

luvstoscrap, I don't know how long you've been reading the boards, but I just wanted to let you know that Bobby's just being stupid.

He really is a nice guy who's fully aware of what's appropriate and not.

IMO, this thread is MELLOW compared to the usual shit we get on these boards. So,while your suggestions are great and should be things we should always keep in mind, Bobby already knows that.

He just likes to make us think he doesn't know jack shit and that he's really dumb as hell because in reality he's really SAMOAN.

Another O/T, I don't know how it's like where you guys are at, but the word "scrap" is localspeak for "fight"..."scuffle"..."give someone's ass a beatdown...you know what I mean.

So when I saw the name for the first time, I thought this user loved to get into beefs and such. Only in Hawaii, I suppose.

Perhaps this thread would work if it asked who the most entertaining person on GC is...

Okay, so I have a different take. This person's first post was in the A-Phi forum linking to a badge on eBay. I figured that the "luv to scrap" referred to the collection of scrap jewelry. Anyway. Have a fabulous day.

Ending any debate:

"Luv to scrap" refers to scrapbooking. I enjoy scrapbooking, rubber stamping, card making, and digital photography. Luv to crap was a cutie though and would make me look twice too. Scrap in terms of fighting I thought it was interesting--- but not no thank you. I have never heard it used in this context at least not on the East coast. It also maybe one of those generational things too.

ShaedyKD
Oh this one I have to laugh at-but if I really was getting my granny pants in a bunch I would be making comments in the Masturbation Stories thread. Just food for thought.

I thought the same thing for both, although in my mind I moved the s after luv so I thought it said luvstocrap. ;)

It took me quite a while to parse DGPhoney as DGP honey and not DG Phoney!

Ditto on hearing scrap used that way. Not too common, but I've heard it.

I remember watching his first ever NFL game on TV and I thought the exact same thing.

Chris and his 10 brothers and sisters (Samoans are notorious for big familias) used to live in a 2 bedroom apartment 2 doors down from us in the glorious Kalihi-Palama neighborhood. Despite living in a shitty part of Honolulu, Chris went on to the NFL and ended up marrying my classmate Adriana, his sister was a W. Volleyball All-American at Nebraska, and one of his brothers (I think he had 6) heads the Police Union.

I've heard "Fuamatu-Maafala" pronounced so many different ways it's funny. You'd think sportscasters would be used to saying Samoan/Tongan/whatever Polynesian names by now.

The radio station I listen to in the morning used to have a contest "Who, Moo, or Fu?" and you had to pronounce Fuamatu-Maafala "correctly" (as in Deck The Halls) to get the Fu prize!
