I'm Cristina! :)
59% confidence, 38% compassion, 62% dedication
Cristina Yang is an extremely intelligent and aggressive woman. She puts her professional obligations first before anything. She likes to do things by the book. However, her horrible bedside manner and inability to relate to her patients causes her to appear cold and distant. She’s also pretty arrogant and persistent. But I got to say she’s my favorite.

Izzy Stevens
62% confidence, 58% compassion, 76% dedication
Isobel Stevens is anything but a dumb blonde. In fact, she’s a very intelligent, determined woman. Her strongest point is probably being able to comfort her patients. However, her compassion can sometimes be her weakness. She also isn’t the most confident of the interns. But, she’s definitely the hottest. ;)
I think this part is cool:
My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 51% on confidence
You scored higher than 31% on compassion
You scored higher than 65% on dedication

Awww, I love Meredith! I mean bad things happen to her, but she's a good person. And so she doesn't make all the best decisions, but who does? She's totally loveable and forgiveable though and in the scheme of things, that counts for a lot. :) So yay for you!! :p

You can find it at any Borders or Barnes & Noble.so i guess they can kill off meredith. But Meredith's last name is "Grey," making the title a play on words, and making Meredith the title character of the show.

Same here!!! He SO needs to be with Meredith. I still think they will end up together at some point... But it's almost like right now, at this point in her life, she needs to be alone and figure herself out. Anyone else get that from it?
Besides, if it works out that way, then McDreamy looks like a good guy for TRYING to make his marriage work- even if it fails in the end. :)
I HATE George's new nurse chick. She's not cute at all.
And, I don't like that Izzy is blowing off Alex for the guy with the heart problem... The story is sweet with her caring about her patient so much, but she blew Alex off right when he was starting to realize just how much he cared about her. :(

I don't think she's a nurse b/c she let him in on one of her surgeries. I don't know if she's a resident though or some sort of attending.
I actually don't want Meredith to end up with McDreamy b/c she's annoying the shit out of me w/her whining & voice. I want McDreamy to come to me! ;)
I'm also over Izzy being so caring for her patients. She needs to learn to distance herself or she'll end up in tears every episode when someone dies.

Izzy needs to be slapped. I can't believe she freaked out on Christina about the scrub cap.
I agree with Alex, too. George is too whinny for me. He is so over dramatic. He reminded me of some of my 8th graders last night who wouldn't talk to some of their friends half the time.

I was home sick today and caught up on all kinds of tivo'd stuff....watched Grey's from last week, Desperate Housewives from two weeks ago, Sopranos from this week, both Sons and Daughters from this week, and the OC from what I think was last week. What. a. good. tv. day. Sons and Daughters was HILARIOUS with that stuff about the constipated son, and Sopranos was...a lot of...drama (that I didn't expect). As for GREY'S, I'm still reeling. What the hell is up Alex's butt? George is pathetic, yes, and Alex speaks the truth and I know he was upset about Izzy but still! At least George seemed umiffed.
What do you think will happen with Izzy and Denny?

He's just reverting to his original asshole status from the first season. It kinda remings me of Sawyer on LOST. Both started out as jerks but softened up. Then they reverted to being jerks again.
As for Izzy & Denny, I don't see it lasting if they don't kill him off first.

I think the most important/interesting thing was the Meredith/Derrick story line:
Backstory - The show started with McDreamy and his wife having "boring" sex. After they get a call from the vet's office about the dog. The wife grabs the phone and says something about having boring sex and hangs up - she didn't realize it was Meredith calling FROM the vet's office (obviously McDreamy knew cuz he answered).
So, Meredith accepted a date with the vet, but before they went he had to birth a horse so she went with him and helped. Then they got back and he convinced her to take a shower and let him cook her dinner, but she told him she was celibate and he said he was fine with it and she stayed. Then, McDreamy shows up with the dog - emergency visit at night - and Meredith walks downstairs clearly freshly showered and in a man's shirt. The look on McDreamy's face was really angry/hurt. THEN, he went back to his RV and asked his wife for "hot sex" in the shower.
Next week they showed Meredith saying to McDreamy "You don't have the right to call me a whore" or something to that effect.

We were just talking about that at lunch today. Meredith handled that perfectly. Most women would be tempted to defend themselves, pointing out that they weren't having sex with the vet, etc. The way she told him that he had no right to call her that or to criticize how she was trying to repair what HE had broken was awe inspiring! You go girl!
I would've also tossed in "You mean we weren't done the day your WIFE showed up???"

Ahhh, I must've missed that comment. I've said one of the interns is leaving, but I had no idea they'd still be on the show and there's NO way she's gonna get away with what she did tonight unless everyone stays oblvious. Which IS possible if that one dr dies (I can't think of his name of the life of me right now) or can't remember what happens when he wakes up and if George covers for her. But yeah, I don't see those both happening...

In the previews for next episode, it shows that ALL of the surgical unit is aware of what Izzie did. The chief or Dr. Bailey could move to dismiss her from the program because what she did could have legal ramifications for the hospital.

So I never really understood why people got so annoyed with the Izzie/Denny thing until last night. Just get it over with already!
I also think people are starting to like Addison more because she is wearing a shade of lipstick that looks decent - as opposed to the god-awful red/orange they originally had her in! :)
And I liked Dr. Torres at first - she seemed different than the other women on the show. But now she's an annoying bitch who is not good enough for nice George. The whole peeing episode - if I was there, I really wouldn't have cared about the washing the hands part. I'd be much more skeeved by her walking in with no top and peeing in front of complete strangers. A normal human would have asked to use it alone! She's just "eww" to me...

She moved up my "eww" scale when her eyes kinda bugged out after she told George she loved him and got weird. George seems to be more confident and less wimpy. He told her to respect his "family".
It's a toss up between Izzie and Christina leaving whether or not Dr. Burke survives the gunshot wound.

How cool was Alex when he told Izzie Denny wasn't Denny anymore? Like the writers do SUCH a great job of making me go back and forth on what I think of the guy.
All in all, he's good I think, but he can sure be an ass sometimes.
Great finale though. I'd have preferred if George didn't end up with Torres though. Blah.

Personally, I didn't really care for the two-day finally. There were some great moments, but overall it was ehhh for me. I was so over the Denny/Izzy storyline, and I hate that Merideth slept with Derek. (that panty scene was just crude!)
I did however like that they resolved things with Merideth and George, and the "time out" scene was pretty funny!
My favorite was Alex complaining about prom: "First it was under the sea, then tears of heaven, no that's too morbid, it should be pink, no red, no blue, glitter..." and then Bailey stepping in: "you're lucky I speak teen...white and silver, the colors will pop!" Now that was funny!

I agree that the 2 day, 3-hour finale was too much.
Hate to sound morbid, but glad Denny is dead so that story line is over. I wonder if we'll see Izzie at all next season, or if she will be totally written out? Seems that this has really jump started Katherine Heigl's career to the point where she may want to move on to something else?
LMAO at Bailey taking over with the prom.
The panties thing was crude. I was waiting for them to be discovered by someone. Maybe Meredith will get pregnant as a result of that scene?
I don't like George and Dr. Torres together. They just look awkward, not a good fit.
Glad to see Alex act like a decent human being.
Christina frustrates me because she is so damn cold... though I think this episode is the beginning of her softening up.
I was thinking that Dr. Weber was going to retire during this episode, with everything he was saying towards the end, I thought for sure he would be the one leaving and Izzie would miraculously come out unscathed.

I cried too. I have no idea how people who actually own pets could go through this kind of thing. Hardest part of the show to watch for me. I had to do the same thing almost a year ago to the day, after our collie had mulitiple strokes. And let me tell you, it doesn't happen that fast. They told me it typically takes 10-15 minutes -- in our case, it was 1 1/2 hours, and it took 3 or 4 shots. 'Course, I tend to think our dog was hanging on -- Ms. MysticCat was out of town, and because the dog hung on so long, Ms. MysticCat could call on the cellphone and talk to her as I held the phone to her ear. The kids got to call, too.
I know. Dog owners.
Izzie will still be around next year, I think, and I won't be surprised if she doesn't somehow manage to get back in the program.
And Bailey is my favorite. She is so good as the hospital nazi, but the actress and the writers have done such a good job of developing her character.
The writing continues to impress me. All of the "interrogations" of the interns, and the conversations about the dog -- nobody was talking about what they were really talking about. I loved Alex's talk about "the team." Good job with him last night, too.

I don't watch much tv but I love this show.
At first I thought I watched it because it was on Sunday night and it's about the only night I watch tv.
I just heard they are moving it to Thursday nights next season so I guess I will be tested if I stick around to watch it on Thursdays.
I love the writing. I love the medical situations. I particuarly liked the story about Addison tying that woman's tubes who has the religious husband.
While I think last nights finale was a bit long and obviously unrealistic I LOVED it. The Denny storyline grew on me. I love him. What a nice smile that guy has! And such a kind face. So beyond sad that he died. And that he died alone. But the joy on his face while reading that magazine was touching.
The dog was beyond sad. I hate it when animals die. I cried so much when that happened!
I love all the characters and quickly the writers have established them. I loved how Kirev came in and swooped up Izzy and the whole "football team" analogy was amazing.
And I love Dr. Bailey. She's so spunky but my favorite character in terms of how she's formulated and written in Christina. I love watching her struggle and find her soul. It's really painful to watch for me. She's the anti Izzy in terms of their feelings and LOVED the part where the chief said he wouldn't be responsible for her becoming less human. That is really profound I think.
The whole Meredith/Derek stuff while I don't hate, is the part I dislike the most. I hope she goes with the vet but having that much passion with someone is a strong force that is hard to ignore.
It is a great show I think and really great without being too soap opera like and I hope I can continue watching it on Thursday nights.

I haven't watched many episodes of this show, but did watch the finale. I don't know -- I just can't really get into it. There are things I like about it -- the actors look more like "normal" people than on any other TV show and they're flawed in ways that seem very real. However, there are some things I can't get over. Meredith? The hell? First of all, she's really fugly. She doesn't have much of a personality. Yet I'm supposed to believe that three guys are SOOOO into her? I just can't buy it. Maybe the flaws of the characters are so real I just don't like any of them and, as a result, don't care what happens next season.

She wont rat them out...remember she helped Meredith tie the back of her dress up before she left the room. She's trying to get in good with the "family" as George put it so she wouldnt jeopardize that.

I don't think the issue was him dying. The bullet hit some nerves and his feeling and steadiness in his hand is compromised - very bad news for a heart surgeon. When he was opening and closing he had tremors.
I thought the finale was good, but a bit drawn out. The prom was silly, but didn't make me hate it.
I'm glad Denny died. :( Crazy Izzie was getting on my nerves.
Meredith and Derek I like together. Them having sex I didn't like. A great kiss, some touchy feely maybe, but I don't think they should have had sex. The sex made me mad. It was okay when he was separated, but since he's trying to make it work, he should keep it in his pants til that's all decided.

I liked it. I thought it was sweet when the chief's neice was talking about being loved. Yes, it was corny, but it wasn't for her sake alone. It reflected to the all of the other relationships on the show, and for last night- the Izzie/Denny relationship. It was nice. :)

I love this show but the inaccuracies as far as the vet stuff bugs the hell out of me. Phenobarbital is not used for euthanasia, it is pentobarbital. I am not sure what drug was given first-something that sounded like telazol (which is a drug we use to induce anesthesia) but sounded like he said terazol?? For God sakes if you are going to have a vet on the show at least consult with a real one. BTW, euthanasia is very quick-I unfortunately have to do many each day I work :(. I usually do not sedate before hand but some vets do. Most vets don't do a bone scan to dx osteosarcoma.

The first show seemed really choppy and not very cohesive to me. Maybe they were trying to convey the different emotional states people have after someone dies, but it just didn't hang together well.
I hate Meredith. I hate McDreamy. I watch the show in spite of them. Go on and live your miserable lives together, just do it somewhere off my screen and give me more Burketina. The way Burke comforted Christina in the hospital bed, and her asking him not to die reduced me into a puddle of goo. Happy warm smiling goo, but goo nonetheless.
George. *happy sigh* Need I say more? I don't mind that he didn't say I love you to Callie. When it's right, it'll happen. And can I just say how freaking adorable they are as a couple, and they're my second favorite couple on the show? Sara Ramirez is teh awesome.
Addison and the panties? Not only washing them, but folding them and putting them in a ziploc bag? Hilarious. Love her, and I think Derek's an idiot for letting her go, but if it means more McSteamy, well... I ain't complaining.

Sistermadly, I completely agree with you tha the episode was choppy.
It seemed like they wanted it to be a flashback episode with current events being the reason for the memory but they ran out of time or something.
I was really hoping Dr. Bailey after all the "I can't turn back time" talk we would see a flashback regarding her life. But we didn't.
I really like McDreamy but I hate the relationship of him and Meredith.
My favorite character is Christina. I love how she is finding sensitivity and it's bothering her. And I really love Izzy too. And all the characters in fact. Though my least favorite character is Meredith. Go figure.
I simply love the show and the stories it tells.
I heard that last nights episode was actually the second episode shot and not the first so maybe next weeks episode will be more cohesive.

I think the writers of this show are absolutly brilliant. First off, if they wanted no one to watch the show after last night, they would have revealed way too much. I like the Mer/Der idea, but I think if she picks him she is ultimately doing exactly what her mother did to her father. I think Finn is best for her but in the past she hasn't chosen based on what's best for her. My girlfriends and I got the sneaky suspicion that Addison was pregnant...could be completely wrong but she was way emotional over the whole baby thing. This would be an incredible twist in the whole already complicated situation. I found myself really liking Callie & George--which I wasn't too thrilled about at first. But I think George is a real mirror image of Meredith because he can't do whats right for him (saying I love you to Callie) because he still has this forbidden love for Meredith. I wish there was more of a Burke-Christina plot last night. AT the end of season 2 when Burke was in the hospital bed Christina asked him if "he told sheppard yet" and he said "not yet". But I am dying...what did he need to tell him! I can't wait for next week...I tivoed and am going to rewatch...

Oo, who said that about Addison being pregnant? You could be on to something there.
Not sure I like the flashbacks, but it definitely made me hate Addison more. I feel like she messed up by cheating on McDreamy. He left and tried to move on and was just about to when she came swooping back in - uninvited! I sort of got a feeling last night that the Mer/Der thing wasn't as annoying and pathetic as I felt it was getting last season. I started to feel it's probably a lot like what happens in real life - aside from everyone conveniently working in the same place. I think McDreamy tried to make his marriage work, but realized it wouldn't b/c he'd fallen in love with someone else. But now maybe he's let that new love get away.
I thought it was really immature of Addison to put the panties on the board. I don't like her. Sorry.
I liked Callie a lot more this episode. She was still snarky but not obnoxiously so.
I'm not a huge Burke/Christina fan - I can take em or leave em.
I was a little "get over it already" with Izzy. I mean, I feel for her and all, but it was a little too over the top. It's not like they had been dating for years or married or whatver.
And I was a bit wierded out by Bailey's bahavior. She's usually so strong and she was so not with both Denny and the Plague guy. There was no real explanation there. Maybe next week.

Quarantine lifts. George and McDumbass get out and make a beeline for Mer/George/Izzie's place. Callie meets George at the door like a big ol' sheepdog (love me love me love me) and George doesn't tell her he loves her (thereby proving that he's the smartest man on the show because he doesn't take McDumbass' advice), but he gives her a really steamy kiss.
McDumbass and Meri-death end up in the kitchen talking. He tells her he loves her, and she has to make a choice.
Izzie gets up off the floor and ends her shiva. Meri-death helps her up and out of the prom dress.

This made me laugh. I have been over these two since the beginning of the series. They really need to be edited out. I do, however, like Addison. Even though she did the cheating before, I loved how snippy she was by posting the panties on the board. She had every right to come back and try to work it out with "McDumbass" because technically she was still married to him.

I hate how she's expecting him to love her and forgive her because they were married.
No, Mystic, they didn't say anything about McDreamy leaving Addision.
That's where I think the pregnancy thing might come in to play. He tells her he wants the divorce and she springs a baby on him. Thus guilting him into trying again and screwing over Meredith - again.

Hmm, sorry for the double post...
Think Addison putting them there was a little symbolic of her realizing that she lost McDreamy and Mer found him? And/or, McDreamy "lost" Mer when trying to reconcile with his wife, but has now "found" he loves her and not Addison?
And, I did love Christina used a bunch of different ways to say that Mer and Der had sex! Too funny!

if you read the episode synopsis for the seasons i think the 4th episode Izzy is reunited with the daughter she gave up when she was a teen. So I am assuming she goes back to work for Seattle Grace. But he did take her back, and supposedly, they were working it out. It doesn't mean he has a free pass to screw around with Mer. He made the choice to go back to Addison.
What I think is so foul about him is that instead of breaking it off with Addison completely, he goes back to Mer and tells her to make a choice. Like I said, I'm so over their drama. I'm more interested in the Addison factor.

Okay, I am a guy and we are notoriously stupid. (Yeah, I admit it.)
This really ticked me off. Last season, Meri-death told him to choose her. Remember: "Pick me, choose me, love me." ya-da, ya-da, ya-da. And McDumbass gave her the "I have to see if my marriage can work" spiel. And now he's telling her to make a choice???? She should have dumped Callie's big ole frying pan on his head.
PS - I love Izzy (like seriously). But, I am adoring Callie. I think she is beautiful and sexy and I love her "Don't mess with me look"; but, when she smiles, I love her even more.

Sadly, yes. However, Chris O'Donnell's only signed on to do three episodes this season (so far) so read into that what you will.
And what did Addison do with the panties?
Well, since someone else already told you I won't rehash it, all I will say is that I laughed. Long and hard. Even though Addison was clearly in pain, it was one of those moments where I just said "Dang, I wish I had that kind of backbone."

No, I think she's expecting him to hang out and love her because (1) he didn't sign the divorce papers (that she had drawn up, mind you!), (2) he invited her to come live at the trailer, and (3) because he invited her to the prom, when he could've just as easily not. So if anything, McDumbass was leading her on. Yeah, he was "trying" blah blah blee, but honestly he wasn't trying that hard .
I'm not saying Addison's a saint. All I'm saying is that I don't get McDreamy because when you stand Addison and Meredith right next to each other, the choice is clear who's the prettiest (and least damaged). But I guess that's the thing with surgeons -- they have a complex about saving lives.

Callie is teh hotness. Although the way Mere-death describes her in Ep. 2 leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I love, love, love her and have since I first saw her. And she's the main reason that MisterMadly consents to sit down and watch the show with me, because he's got it bad for her.

Ok, I was kind of getting this impression too, from some of the comments that she was saying, but then I was thinking well, she does work with babies.
But am I making this up or did Derek say something to Meredith along the lines of, "You have a choice to make and then I have a choice to make..." Or did I just misunderstand what he said? Because if I heard that right it's like he's saying you should pick me and then maybe I'll pick you, but maybe I'll stay with my wife - but don't pick Finn. I want you around for when it's easy for me.

No, Der said that she had a choice to make and that she should take her time to make it because when HE had a choice to make, he made the wrong one.
I don't get why anybody has sympathy for Addison. She cheated on her husband with his best friend. Derek decided to try to make it work because of the marriage committment (which SHE totally disregarded by cheating on him.. not just with some random person, but his BEST FRIEND!!!!!). He has told her in previous episodes that he's in love with Meredith. She was the one who said that the only two people who don't know that Derek is in love with Meredith are Derek and Meredith. Why does she want to be with someone who a) she cheated on and b) doesn't love her? He tried to get over it and make things work with her and it simply wasn't going to work because she betrayed him, broke him and drove him away. He is in love with someone else. He tried to do the right thing, but he is in love with someone else. I'm tired of Addison acting like the victim because she created this whole situation. She was pathetic in the flashback from NY where she was begging him to stay and work things out. She made me want to vomit, just as Derek said.
I wondered if she had gotten pregnant and had an abortion or something because she didn't know who was the daddy.. McDreamy or McSteamy. I didn't consider that she might be pregnant now.
Callie irritates me. I don't understand the attraction to George. She seems like she is way older than him. Her personality drowns him. I don't like that match. I did like what she said about the doctors being 17 because all they've done since that age was think about science.
I like Finn. I like Finn a lot. I don't know which one I want Meredith to pick.

The only one I LOVE is Dr. Bailey. Except in the season opener, she seemed kinda of weak when she was talking to Omar, the plague patient. Usually, she's much stronger & in control. That's what I like about her. :)
But my all time fave character in the show is... Seattle! I wish they gave Seattle more of a role, like New York got in Sex & the City. I guess everyone now thinks that we have all these freaky sick people walking around... but really, the only reason my husband & I started watching the show was because it "takes place" in Seattle. :)

Yes, McDreamy chose to take her back, but only after she showed up in his new home. He chose her because he was doing the right thing trying to make it work. And if you had Addison around constantly whining about "when are you gonna love me again" and you had to work with her in the same hospital everyday, it might not be so easy to kick her to the curb - which is why he moved across the country anyway! He was trying to make a clean break and clear his head. When you are married to someone for years, even when they hurt you so bad by cheatring on you, it can be very difficult to make a claen break - there is a lot invested there. But no matter how hard you try to make things work, sometimes they just won't.
And he hasn't been screwing Mer right and left! But his attraction and love for her just couldn't be contained anymore. I think, for him, that romp in the hospital meant he wanted her back. Maybe not the best way to do it, but she didn't have to be so easy to cooperate, either.
I still really think it's more like a real life situation than most people care to admit. It just seems much more dramatic because 1)they all work together and 2) we see every aspect of it.

Why is Burke STILL in the hospital???
Since when do they keep people that long in the hospital? He doesn't have anything THAT wrong with him.
Wasn't he shot? I have no idea how long people are in the hospital with gunshot wounds.

the show took up from where it left off last season, I am under the impression that only a few days have gone by

I could be confused because of this... But it seems like he's "fine", or at least good enough that the hospital wouldn't keep him.
Of course, this is tv and it's fake. :) I'm just so used to hospitals getting patients out very quickly.

Agreed that this episode was better than last week's!
The best part was the gay man suffering from a brain tumor that made him brutally honest. Too bad it turned out the way it did.
I'd still take Alex over McDreamy any day. Still, I can't get over the fact that he was Massimo in The Wedding Planner.

Is it just me or did anyone see any foreshadowing in that Izzie and McVet may get together?

I thought the same thing. Once they connect, you will find Meredith questioning whether she made the right choice.

I loved him in that movie. He was hot in Liberty Heights too.

I was going to ask if that's what has been happening. I've been watching the ones on Friday night but I haven't been sure if they were rebroadcasts or what.....

McVet is so sweet. Bringing Izzy and all-- priceless!! Sadly, I'm still in McDreamy's corner.

I kind of suspected that after the preview for this week's episode

Is anyone else wondering where Alex's hair went? It's the same day and he's suddenly nearly bald.
Anyway, I can't wait to see more of McSteamy and Burke's momma. She sure doesn't seem like an Alabama restaurant owner.

Favorite Grey's Anatomy quote:
"I'm dating . . . it comes with snacks."
Absolutely loved this line.:)

"I wanna be felt up, and no one is feeling me up."
That one got my vote for quote of the week.

I really hated Addison when she was in the closet crying and bitched at Meredith to go away so she didn't have to see her. Pick a different floor and stick to it. Um, hi, you're the idiot who cheated in the first place, and the idiot who called up McSteamy again which made you feel worse. And there is a lost kid bleeding internally - perhaps that's a little more important than you and your woe is me cry session!! It's not like Meredith was looking for Addison!

I sort of feel bad for Addison. Not b/c she was crying but because she has to work with her estranged husband and the girl he loves. I think she was lame for cheating, but no one can handle that!

She chose that. Derek didn't ask her to come to Seattle. She did that on her own and now she has to deal with the repercussions. You cheat on your husband with his best friend, he moves across the country and you decide to follow him.. you have to deal with the fact that maybe he has moved on and dated. And, keep in mind, the viewers know that she and McSteamy lived together after Derek went to Seattle, but I don't think Derek knows that yet. While I like aspects of her character, I don't have any empathy for her.
Even though I haven't been real fond of the Callie-George relationship, I didn't like the way George treated her in that episode.

Yeah, I was also wondering where that came from.
