Hi all you KD Ladies!
Another KD alumna here! Since we know we are all here, why don't we talk about something?
Maybe, what do you like best about KD!

To reply to ecukd, the thing i love the best about KD is the everlasting friendships and the connection with other KD's that I have never met. I have been talking to and Alum from the Gamma Sigma chapter (YEAH!) and she is awesome, we always have so much to talk about and I have never met her! I just love the friendships and the knowledge and the growth that you can receive from other KD's around the world! I love having sisters too!!!! AOT

I didn't help colonize it, but I did participate in their initiation. One of my high school friends initiated into Eta Beta and it was great to see a friend become my sister!

That is so awesome!
I can relate, our chapter was initiated all at once, including alumnae who had graduated the semester before. It was so sweet to see that all our work paid off and all my friends are now my KD sisters too!
We had Beta Chi (UNC) help initiate us and they still help the chapter today, so I hear...I'm just an old alumna now, but I still keep in touch and I'm planning to go to convention to see our chapter back again and also I was invited to help with their first real recruitment efforts against 8 other NPC groups!

Glad to see some KDs are alive out there..... look for me to be a frequent poster. My job until the fall involves sitting on a computer for 40 hours a week (i do tech support). Plus i have DSL. So i practically have a computer plugged into me 24-7.
I definately think we need to talk greekchat up in the Yahoo group. I kind of like the format a little better b/c i don't feel bad that i'm filling up someone's inbox with messages everytime i want to say something. I always have a lot to say :O)
Anyway.... look for many more posts from me!

Thanks Leslie!

Well I think all those ideas are great! I have mentioned GC to my AA but no ones seems to have computer time. I will do anyhing to get away from accounting, so I post all the time!

I think we can chat it up to our buddies and see if we can get some more KDs on here. The post numbers are sad, but we can work on it!

One of the downsides about GC is that you have to go to the website to read the messages. I think that's why so many have dropped by, but few return. :(

With the Yahoogroup, it goes straight into your mailbox, so it's very easy to participate in discussions.

Plus, this format is confusing. I STILL don't understand how to read the new msgs on here... ARGH!

What I like about GC is that it's open to all greeks. You can post a note & all kinds of greeks will respond. On the same note, there are some things about KD that I would like to keep within our circle, which is why we make sure to verify all who apply.

As for finding new members...well, forums like this usually appeal to younger members. As a pro who has been recruiting KD Onliners for 10 years, I can tell you who to aim for directly: visit the all the KD chapter websites you can & email the officers - just t e ones who have their direct email posted on the site.

Let's say you get 2 from a chapter. They can tell a few others from their chapter...and it will just grow from there.

AOT!

Hi ladies! I'm from the Delta Eta chapter at USF. I have mentioned the site to a few of my sisters, and I know my roomate has registered. I think a message on the board on the National Website would be a good idea. I don't always have a lot of time, that's my problem...but I promise I'll try to post more so we can keep up with AGD! LOL

Love & AOT,
Shae

Hey, y'all! It's Molly from Gamma Upsilon Chapter at Texas A&M-Commerce. Most of y'all will recognize me from the yahoogroup.

Has anyone taken the initiative to post on the National site yet? I'll check that out and do so if you haven't had the time.

As for this site, I'm happy to know I've found JUST ONE MORE thing to do to waste time during the day.....Oh, you know I don't need help in that area!

When classes start again, and all the houses are open, we could get sisters to announce GreekChat.com during chapter...or maybe just post it on the bulletin boards (or whatever your house might have).

Anyways, I need to get productive....Oh, yes...when posting, make sure you're representing KD in the best fashion possible. I haven't seen any remarks by our sister that are in poor taste, but some things these other girls choose to share is astonishing!

Remember, Ta Kala Diokomen always and forever! Love in AOT, molly

Hey Sara,
My friend went to HPU this past semester, she was a transfer, and is now transferring to my school (South Florida)...anyways, she had never really had any "sorority friends" other than I, but ended up meeting one, or maybe a few of your sisters, and said that they were really cool. Her name is Casey, I don't know if maybe you know her (how big is HPU?), but anyways, she had nice things to say about KD! Way to represent!
