Close game... but the REAL knockdown, dragout fight's gonna be Tuesday in the Orange Bowl! :D

How 'bout Iowa pulling that squeaker with LSU? In Venezuelan Spanish slang, there's a term that fits the situation: le sacaron el juego del bolsillo - literally, "they took the game right out of their pocket". In this case, LSU's pocket.

Methinks there's gonna be a hairy-assed situation when the final standings are released.

That was truly a heartbreaker for us Michigan fans, but what a game it was! I was GLUED to that TV. Congrats Texas on your first Rose Bowl win.

TEXAS TEXAS YEE-HAW!! I've never seen such a game in my life! It was a great game and both teams kept fighting to the end. I wish I had been there in person.

The Tower is ORANGE tonight!!

It was a great game. Probably the best bowl game so far.

agreed...excellent ballgame.
however, seems wrong. texas just doesn't belong in the rose bowl. that's a pac 10 vs. big ten spot.

Even though I was cheering for Michigan, it was a good game. Texas was ranked way higher and Michigan had them shaking in their cleats. Congrats, Longhorns.

I agree, texas dosent belong in the rose bowl, however if the BCS was worth anything, it woulndt have gone down like that.

At any rate, the game was played and it was a GREAT game. Too bad there arent more games of that callaber played every year. Thats what college football is all about. Both teams clawing and fighting to a victory. Awesome.

Until it became part of the BCS rotating championship game, the Orange Bowl pitted the winner of the Big 8 (now the Big 12) with another invited team in the top of the standings.

Cotton Bowl used to be the winner of the SWC (RIP) versus a nationally-ranked team.

Sugar Bowl was the SEC champ vs. a nationally-ranked team.

Does this mean Utah can finish as high as THIRD?
