The Beta Theta Pi chapter at the U of Washington has been sanctioned / suspended for hazing, according to the Nov. 13 Seattle Times. The action will limit the chapter's activities.

It hasn't yet been determined whether a sorority involved in the incident will receive sanctions, according to the article. A spokesperson at the fraternity's national HQ is reported as saying the sanctions are appropriate. The sorority's national HQ declined to comment.
(Comment: the whole thing sounds eerily similar, though not identical in detail, to the allegations that are being investigated on the other side of the U.S. at Dartmouth in New Hampshire.)
