Art thieves have stolen "The Scream" as well as other art work by Edward Munch. :(
According to the story, this wasn't the first time this has happened to artwork at the museum.Shame on the museum for not spending extra money on security.

Munch artworks stolen in Norway
Three works by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch worth an estimated $320,000 (£166,000) have been stolen from a hotel in southern Norway.
They were taken from Refsnes Gods Hotel restaurant, near the city of Moss.
Hotel owner Vidar Salbuvik said two lithographic prints and one watercolour from the hotel's collection of seven Munch works were taken on Sunday.
It comes after armed thieves took Munch works The Scream and Madonna from The Munch Museum in Oslo last August.
Refnes Hotel displays hundreds of paintings by Norwegian artists but none are protected by alarms.

You'd think the Norskies would have learned after the first robbery.

There was actually a really good article in playboy about this last month, and that was not the first time "The Scream" has been stolen either. Man, they really need to start alarming their stuff, or there will be none left for them.

I thought the painting was worth more than that if they keep stealing it. Not that a value of 6 digits isnt a lot but still if you're going to steal a painting go for the big ones. Then again I guess with it being of lower value, it makes it easier to steal????

That painting has always creeped me out. When a brother was in a coma after a car accident, he had that look on his face. Ever since the accident (which proved to be fatal) I cant look at that photo without thinking of Chris.
