Hi ladies!

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to attend my first Founders' Day celebration in Torrance, CA. Part of the program included the presidents of each of the chapters in the Souhtern California region giving a short speech on what their chapters had been doing. Some of the girls included remarks on how their chapter did during recruitment. Delta Eta (UC Irvine) and Delta Lambda (UC Riverside) have already been mentioned in this thread. Here are some more results:

Alpha Iota (UCLA) - Over quota, including 2 legacies.

Beta Lambda (SDSU) - 47 new members; 3 over quota and are now over total.

Delta Delta (CSU Fullerton) - 42 new members; over quota.

Epsilon Nu (Chapman) - 33 new members; over quota.

Epsilon Gamma (University of San Diego) - 43 new members; 100% return rate during recruitment and 100% initiation rate! (yay for my chapter!! :) )

Gamma Eta (CSU Long Beach), Beta Alpha (Southern Cal), and Zeta Theta (Pepperdine) were also there but did not mention recruitment results in their presentations.

Gamma Epsilon extended 29 bids, quota plus 2. No word on how many accepted. Quota was higher this year too (even not including the effects of my comment below).

Sadly one of the houses was closed over the holiday break.

The Epsilon Iota chapter at Christopher Newport University took in 20 new members yesterday during bid day, quota plus 2. We also have 3 CORs from the end of the fall semester, so the new member class is 23 strong!

I wish that my sorority got that many girls at rush this semester. Im in Gamma Phi a Weber State University in Ogden Utah, and we had 3 girls rush, but went to the other sorority :( big bummer for us.

Zeta Lambda at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi took in 10 new members through spring COB. I can't remember how many they got in the fall. lol. They have gotten quota plus the last 3 years! The most of any sorority. They used to be last, now they are first! It's a huge accomplishment for them!

Sadly one of the houses was closed over the holiday break.

On another positive note, we actually have MORE women who want to live in the house next year than we have space (32 spaces). This hasn't happened in YEARS!!

It would appear that gammaphi04 is a member of "Gamma Phi" a local sorority at Weber State University.

Obviously, our organizations are not the same. I guess she just doesn't realize that we call ourselves "Gamma Phi" as well.

Hi everyone
I don't think I have actually been on since Spring of last year, but I had a moment so I figured I would say hi! I am now the chapter advisor for Zeta Epsilon at Duquesne and I am happy to say that they got quota of 12 great girls!

Well, better late than never :) :

Alpha Lambda at UBC was one of the only 3 out of 7 chapters to get quota in September, with 15 absolutely outstanding women. As well we COR-ed a fantastic 16th (my little sister!) in October, and got 2 great new members in February who we will be inititating in August!

Our ladies worked very hard over the year and I'm so proud of them!

The Epsilon Lambda Chapter at the University of Alabama took 31 wonderful ladies today!

Only two or three houses that made quota actually had all their girls show up. I know one house had 20 girls not show up after bids were distributed. I know of two other houses that were in the thirties. I don't know if it was the new release figures they used this year but this never happens at Bama.

Ladies-
What exactly do you do in spirit week or recruitment school?
We have recently found out that some chapters on our small greek campus are doing this. Typically our chapter does better at COB than FR but we need to change this. (This is not necessarily a -ve thing as ALL chapters on campus do FR and COB all year).
Please post or PM me with any ideas that you use with your chapter.
Thanks!

I'm happy to let you all know that Beta Gamma at BGSU took quota in formal recruitment for the first time in a while. They typically do better with informal so this is awesome for them. I'm very proud of these ladies!!!

For the record I'm not sure what quota was but the email I got said they have at least 15 lovely new ladies.

Hey! The Gamma Zeta Chapter got 3 amazing girls through Formal Recruitment (Greek system seems to be deteriorating on campus), and have gotten 7 more new members since! We still have a few more CR's left, so we are looking towards 15 or so! The past two semesters our new member classes have been 7 and 5 respectively, so maybe things are starting to look up!

As the mom of one of the new 55 I can report that they're absolutely thrilled to be a part of Gamma Phi!

(I got a text message while at work - "We're the top house! 55 of us! GAMMA PHI BETA ROCKS!!! We're founded upon it actually. )

Think back to the excitement you felt when you first got your bid. The beaming daughter on my cell phone couldn't be happier.

Congratulations!

Congrats...

And let me just say how enjoyable it was to meet one of your sisters (alum I think) at Les deux Pierrot two weeks ago - no I don't remember her name... umm I was enjoying the Old Montreal, really enjoying.

Only regret of the night is was that my sister couldn't have made the trip; I'm sure she would have had a blast meeting any of the McGill Gamma's in a more relaxed setting :p

Congrats ATGphiB! Good luck with COB.
just out of curiosity did quota go up, down or stay the same this year at McGill?
It went up at U of T this year so i'm wondering if it is a trend in Canada?

Thanks everyone!
AAGamma - quota did go up this year, I believe it was 6 or 7 last year. Our panhellenic did an incredible job marketing recruitment this year, which is vital considering how much Montreal has to offer new students. An alum of one of the other chapters said to me that it was the easiest bid matching ever - the large majority got their first choice house and the rest got their second. There are still plenty of spectacular girls that are interested and either had to drop out of rush early or couldn't do it the week it was so I'll let you know our final number once we have it!
RACoopers - glad you enjoyed yourself. There are plenty of 'new alums' still kicking around, so I can't even begin to guess...

UC Riverside finished today... I must say, I am SO PROUD of Gamma Phi! They were one of the favorite chapters for all PNMs this year (which can be a bad thing if they love GPhiB too much and don't take their bid to another chapter... sad)... but they got an INCREDIBLE new member class and I'm so happy with their results!

Quota was 15 (low for UCR) and we took 16 through formal and have since COB'd 3 and are looking for 2 more, then we'll be at total.

didn't see my old chapters results, so here they are:

zeta lambda at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi got quota plus with 23. i think that makes at least three years in a row getting plus, maybe four. they rock at recruitment!

hi ladies! thought you would love to know how zeta sigma (south carolina) did for our first formal recruitment!

after bid day and COB, i beleive our newest class holds around 30ish girls. (sorry i can't give a number exactly....i've asked one of my close friends in that class...maybe she can give me an answer)
