Hi! I am a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma, and when I was going through recruitment my choice was between Phi Sig and DZ... it was a difficult one, but I felt more at home with Phi Sig, although the DZs were some of the nicest girls, and I have many friends who are a part of our DZ chapter! The girls in the Clarion chapter were not fake, and even after recruitment, when I had become a Phi Sig, they were still genuinely nice, unlike some people. I just wanted to give a shout out to you!! Also my new cousin (through marraige) was a DZ at Clarion http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Hi Ali,

Thanks for the message! I'm glad to hear you found a home in Phi Sig, and that you still have good friends in DZ! That's what being Greek is all about! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hi ladies. My mom was a DZ, so I came to y'all's board to see what you were about. I'm a ZTA now b/c my school doesn't have DZ. But I have only heard good things about the sorority. I know I can be proud to be a DZ legacy! Also, any of you ladies at UNC Chapel Hill, your house is amazing!

Thanks, Dianne! It's always great to hear from legacies!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Is your mom active in any alumnae chapters for Delta Zeta?

By the way, one of my best friends here at work is a ZTA alumna from the University of Alabama. Sweet girl!

I took her to the greek paraphenalia store we have, and the owner was a DZ and had up her old composite. So of course my mom and her had to hug and scream and do some DZ cheer! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

It's always fun to run into DZ sisters! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Tell your mom that we'd love to add her to the ranks of our active alumnae if she's interested. I'll be glad to put her in touch with the nearest alum chapter! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Yep, your mom's a DZ alright! We tend to do that http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

P.S. You said your mom attended Clarion and Slippery Rock. Is she from Western Pennsylvania? I am from a Pittsburgh suburb originally.

My mom grew up in Gibsonia, PA and then finished HS in Grove City. Small world!

There are only a few good things that came out of Clarion- Chris Kirkpatrick of NSync, Kurt Angle (Pre WWF!) and any PHI SIGMA SIGMA!

Hi Ali! I am finding that GreekChat is a very small world indeed! What part of Pittsburgh are you from and where'd you go to high school? I went to Fox Chapel.
