Legacy

Hi, I will be rushing this fall and I'm a little confused about the whole legacy deal. I have an aunt that was a DZ, so does that make me anything more than just another girl with a rec? I know that having a mother or sister makes you a legacy, but I heard someone say something about an "indirect" legacy...what exactly is that? Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for asking about legacy status. The fact that your aunt is a Delta Zeta does not make you a legacy according to our policies, but it is information that should definitely be put on your Rush registration form. Also, if your aunt would write a recommendation letter for you, mentioning your family connection, that would be very helpful as well. Hope this answers your question!
