i've posted this before, it's embarassing but i drvie a 96 dodge caravan. i inherited it from my grandpa when he passed away this past fall. but i live in nyc where i easily get road rage and don't want anything new right now that will get scratched up by people who can't parallel park. plus insurance is high enough here for a hoopty~~i pay over $300 a month and that is WITHOUT collision. it's a 6month policy and the guy said next year my premium will go down a lot but even still...........

I drive a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus (wouldn't have minded it being the Sebring convertable...) that I inherited from my Grandpa...it's only got 50,000 miles though...
I want a Toyota Rav4, softtop....I've always loved the small convertable jeep type cars, and Toyotas are really reliable.

Trust me, you don't want a Sebring. My mom has one (bought it brand new in 97) and it's the biggest POS we've ever owned!
And I don't remember the Rav4 coming in a soft top. Am I wrong? I checked the Toyota website and didn't see any info on a soft top/convertable Rav4.
Besides, a Jeep Wrangler will last a few lifetimes too. Trust me. ;)

I've had plenty of problems with my Cirrus, (most recently $3,000 timing belt/engine heads, $800 distributor, $300 circut boards) but if I have to have a Chrysler, I'd rather have the Sebring....

You car is built for add-on's. I also have a 98 Acura Integra...not even close to stock and I still have MUCH more to do. The great thing about Honda's is that you can find parts just about anywhere, and the prices aren't that bad either. But I agree, an STi would be the shit! (The EVO's ok too) ;)

I had good luck w/my loaded '99 Sebarge, but the darn thing was too big (really, like driving a boat). Sold it to my mom in March, who loves it. So the 'barge got a good home, and now I have the opportunity to save my pennies for the next car, purchased by Septebmer, if I can wait that long: 2001 or 2002 Volvo S60 (2.4 or T5 with the cold weather package, thank you).

This is my current ride. It has All Wheel Drive, and obscene loads of cargo space for road trips. I found out I can fit a couch in the back and close the hatch to drive seven hours, or fit in kayaks. I prefer it to any SUV, as I can haul as much, have traction, and it has steel reinforced beams and side airbags, but I get excellent gas mileage. It also has heated seats, and defrost for the side mirrors.
She's a beautiful Navy blue, with dark interior, but cloth seats so I don't burn or freeze my bum. There is a great plastic mat that covers the cargo area, so if anyone hurls when I DD, I can just hose it off and then Lysol it.
When I am a mom, I want a Volvo Cross Country Wagon, in a nice shiny, yet neutral silver. I had a Volvo and I absolutely adored it.
When at home I ride one of these when I have to make a Rice-a-Roni or Ghirardelli Chocolate run.

I should probably mention that I don't drive. My parents couldn't afford the insurance for me or my older sister when we were in high school, and when they could (which was like 3 years ago), I'm not home enough to actually learn. I assume one of these days I'll learn...or move to a large city and make use of public transportation.
Realistically, I want a Wagoneer, or a late 80's sedan of some sort. I can't afford (car or insurance) anything more!
In my dreams, I want the new Volvo hardtop convertable. Or a 1963 Impala convertable.

I got the husband a K&N system for his truck last year, he's gotten maybe 2-3 more miles/gallon since then. Mostly we want the flexfuel option because it's supporting local agriculture and fuel should/will be cheaper. He already uses an ethanol blend in his truck and I use biodiesel when I can. He prefers diesel, though, if we can get it.

Even though I have a car, i still take public transportaion all the time (I'm a big subway fan) because parking is so expensive in the city!
That's another reason I'm looking at possibly getting a Dodge Caliber...it's pretty affordable, but still has a nice look to it.

I drive a black 2001 Ford Explorer Sport, but I don't have a picture to share :(
I bought it on Saturday, September 8, 2001 and I wanted different tires put on it and a small paint chip fixed. I was told it would be ready Tuesday. So Tuesday rolls around and...major bummer. I finally called the dealership and told them I was too depressed to come in that day and pick it up, and they said that was OK 'cuz they were closing early because hardly anyone had come in, and those who did looked up at the TV screen and ended up turning around and leaving. I ended up finally going in a few days later.
I'll definitely want another Explorer when this one passes away. I love it! :)

I currently drive a '98 Honda Passport. Before I leave Germany, I'm getting my very first *new* car. Not a Mercedes, because I watched a documentary about how they used slave labor from the concentration camps, and I can't handle that. And not a BMW, because according to the Germans, those are s%$# cars.
So it's going to be the brand new Volvo C70... silver, convertible, beautiful... and safe to boot!

I have to update my answer to this. I now drive NOTHING. My car died on Friday.. engine is caput. Now I have to find me another car and I wasn't ready financially for this. I've decided to get a used car for around $10K and, when my daughter starts driving in 3.5 years, she can have it and I'll get something that I really want then.

This is the kind of car and color I bought about eight weeks ago...
It's a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Because I can't afford one of these:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/5/web/293000-293999/293017_40_full.jpg
It's a Porsche 911T.
But I think they look a little alike...
And, I can't imagine the 911 drives "much" better than the Eclipse. My car goes around corners like it's on rails.

It was my last chance to own one with low miles, since they stopped making the Tracker in 2004...and I needed more trunk space than my Aveo. I had wanted a Tracker since I was 16...it's a great size - it's still a SUV, but it fits into compact parking spots.

:p :D http://www.kellys-kawasaki.com/imgs/mc/05ninja/k_05_ex500d_ac_3_392.jpg
I've since traded down to a Ninja 250:D http://www.hondawest.com/Images/04Models/Kawasaki/Motorcycles/Street/Sport/Ninja250/Large/Ninja250_Silver.jpg
I HATE the color (halloween black and orange) but the price was right and my 500 covered the cost of the 250. I'm going to paint it powder blue with little pink flowers on it. :)
I'm seriously considering the BMW Z3 or Z4.

Still driving my old Jag XJ6 4.2 litre. She is a restored '84, British Racing Green with chocolate leather interior, burled walnut dash, and twin tanks. Factory rebuilt engine and goes like a scalded dog. I got her over ten years ago, had her refurbished and added US specs by M&M Garage in Iver Heath, England, and she is in near perfect condition. With luck I will keep her going indefinitely, or at least until Hell freezes over.

I like cars, but I'm actually happy with what we have right now. We have no plans to get rid of any of them anytime soon...if we can keep the d@mn volkswagens running. The girls wanted them, but they are both pieces of cr@p.
I initially wanted a 5 series BMW wagon, but the salesman read me like a book and showed me the 330i and the wagon idea went out the window. I drove the LC for a couple of years and hubby had another SUV, but I got tired of having to be selective in my parking spots, so he got that and I got a new car.

I drive a 2006 Toyota Camry in Ruby Salsa aka maroon. I love this car. It's perfect for me. I drove a Toyota Celica beforehand that I absolutely adored. Too bad that ditz didn't see where she was going before I slammed into her. Still, the settlement I got from her did set me up with my Camry.

Mine, too. I've found them fully restored out here for 8,000 -12,000 dollars. The only thing I'm really worried about is getting parts and finding somebody to work on it. I've wanted one ever since I got my driver's license, but my father said "Absolutely not, you'll run over everything."
