Johnny Mack Brown--a Saturday hero

Johnny Mack Brown, a football hero at Alabam before he made all
those western movies....he was a Kappa Sig at U of Alabama and
his son was a Kappa Sig at Kentucky.
I had read somewhere he was an SAE (fine fraternity, too) but his daughter Carol just told me he was a Kappa Sig.
He was one of my Saturday afternoon heroes in the 40s

Surely you guys jest...you have not even commented on my post
on Johnny Mack Brown, Kappa Sig, the hero to many of us kids who bounced up and down on Saturday afternoons when the old
B-westerns were de rigeur.
So, I will add this: He was also regarded as the ultimate gentleman, a favored choice, and one helleva nice guy.
They can't be any better according to this old Teke....

Thanks for the post; I'll admit, I was unaware he's a Kappa Sig. It's always nice to hear about a Brother who's done well though.
