I'm a waitress and she came and sat in the bar tonight... wearing letters on her pullover. So I started up a conversation about sorority life and how more girls should join, and more sorority women should wear their letters.... and she told me a little about last year's convention here in DC and how she'd always wanted a lettered pullover and finally got one.
Then she left me a huge tip :D I love Gamma Phi Betas!

no, and she paid in cash so I couldn't be sneaky and read it. Like I did with the ADORABLE 28 year old who asked for my number. callmecallmecallme.
I can describe him -- er, I mean her. Focus. Gamma Phi Beta. Nice girl. That's better. Heh. I can describe the lovely GPhiB that came in. She had shoulder-length dark blonde hair, no glasses, was probably like 5'2'' or 3'', and she was probably like a size 8 or 10. VERY very nice girl. Maybe 27 or 28.

Actually I was going to congratulate you on THAT one, but I didn't want to completely hijack the thread..............;)

hijack away! muhahaha....
seriously, SO adorable. 28 though. I'm 22. Too old? Thoughts?
I'll tell ya what though -- I've been through hell and back the last 3 years and I am SO ready for a guy who's a little more settled down than what I'm used to. And 28 w/ a steady job sounds just about right. Even if he was out w/ his 3 fraternity brothers on a Friday night. Just means he's not a player.... right?
Although I'll tell you what, I'm actually thinking he probably won't call. Yeah I spent the better part of 3 hours flirting madly, and after all the attention, I'd have to say they got the better end of the deal -- fantastic service on a busy Friday night. And 4 boys? Smells like "Yeaaaaah, got her number!" :: crumples & throws in trash :: "Where're we goin' next?"
ooooh so cute though. and so much potential... *sigh* callmecallmecallmecallme.....
RoseNWhiteLion says don't worry until 3 days later. I'm thinking more like Sunday, then move onto a new fantasy...

sidenote: if I hadn't recently moved back in w/ the 'rents in northern VA, I wouldn't be sitting at home on a Saturday night listening to Marvin Gay and imagining a complete stranger's proposal.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe the cute guy decided he liked the cute Gamma Phi better. ;)

It is only appropriate that my sisters have HUGE ROCKS but I agree you should get the rock if she gets him. ;)

Ok, a few points for you "youngsters" from this 33yo........
1) 28 and 22 is not a big age gap, I've dated guys 10 years older.
2) 28 is still a "player" no matter what they might say. Yes, I have a friend who is 28 and Mr I Hate Dating has become a total player lately.
3) At 22, you have absolutely NO reason to go for a settled guy anyway. BUT, a job is a necessity, take it from me.

's alright. He didn't call anyway.
The ex, however, did......

's alright. He didn't call anyway.
Exes suck... well, most of them at least. Although, I'm secretly hoping one of my exes will call me soon... I miss the guy terribly even though he got on my nerves for a long time. But he has a g/f and I would just feel so guilty if I got him to the point where he keeps confessing his undying love for me... hahaha. Then again, I'm too gutless to call him myself- don't want the g/f to answer or anything...
Sorry for the random hijack- HotDamn got me thinking again!

Any idea of what school the G Phi was from? We have a lot of alumnae in the Richmond area.
