I'm also on ICQ. My numer is 136473736.

I'm always online, but ICQ seems to have a lot of bugs in it. Sometimes it doesn't work properly for me.

Anyone else have that problem?

I used to use ICQ way back in the day before AIM was really big... but then most people went over to AIM so I signed up for that... by the time I got this computer I wasn't even using ICQ so I never downloaded it... I don't even remember my number... I think AIM is more user-friendly anyways...

I've been using ICQ since 1997 or 1998. I've got a 7 digit number; that tells you how long I've been around! One of my best friends had a 5 digit number until someone hijacked it.

I had to switch back to ICQ, my other messenger systems love to crash on me. AIM is notoriously bad about that, once again, to everyone that tries to talk to me when I do log into my AIM and I crash, it's NOT my fault!!:( :(

I remember ICQ was HUGE! I had a 5 digit account too, but it after the first year of university I used it progressively less.

I haven't used ICQ in 4 years, but I re-downloaded it and found my old #...one of the very first 8 digit ones...the ICQ search page brought my number up saying I was 14!!!! That was a LONG time ago I last used ICQ...right around when AOL bought it out.

Regardless, i'm back on now, with

I haven't used ICQ since 1997 I believe. It was pretty cool at first, and then random people somehow got a hold of my ICQ number and then all of a sudden a buttload of people from Malaysia started ICQing me. I went back to my AOL Instant Messanger (there was no AIM I think at that time) and never looked back.

To this day I can't stand Yahoo or MSN.

I've never used ICQ; though I remember first hearing about it back in the day. I use Yahoo and sometimes AIM.
Is there any difference between ICQ and the other services besides the client and the fact you have a usernumber rather than username?

ME too!! I actually like ICQ BETTER than AIM. I just don't use ICQ as much because everyone I chat with uses AIM.

Anyhow my number is 6610259

I used to use ICQ, but MSN takes up far less memory and space and doesn't slow my computer like ICQ did.

I tried to get into AIM, but never could. I used Yahoo Messenger for awhile, but I don't like it.

Try ICQ Lite...that's what I use.

Actually, if you guys use multiple messenger programs you should get
trillian (http://www.trillian.cc)

It incorporates all existing programs together.

I used trillian and never liked it. I did like Odigo, however...

Omigosh I totally forgot about ICQ! I haven't been on there in 3 or 4 years. I'll re-download it eventually. My number is 42513876. It probably still says that I'm 16 or something like that...

I just reinstalled my ICQ after not having it for a few years. I know it's a 7 digit number starting with 9, but I don't remember the rest off the top of my head.

I always get messages from people in Turkey or Egypt wanting to chat. Their English is not good and they always send random messages that say. You no want to chat? And when I don't reply they say something like please tell if you no chat because I am wait.

HUH?

I always get random spam messages too saying "Children in IRAQ!!! We Can save them together!!"

no thanks....not over ICQ we can't.
