Hey everyone! I'm Tristena and I'm rushing at Stephen F. Austin this fall. Rush starts August 28. At SFA we have Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Zeta and Zeta Tau Alpha. I am really excited and can't wait!!:)

Plus, I met the Pres. of the chapter there over the summer so I feel like I have a personal connection!

Well, I finally got everything moved in and almost all unpacked! Just a little more to go...our orientation starts in about 20 minutes, just thought I'd post b4 I go. Let ya'll know how it went later on tonight! :)

Ok I'm back from orientation. Our Rho Chi's are so nice! I'm so excited to go to the parties tomorrow. Parties for us start at 1 and are supposed to be over by 5. So I will post probably around 5:30 or 6, if I have time. Wish me luck everyone! I'll post as soon as I can :)

Ok...so I'm back now! I had a great day! We visited all 5 houses today, it was Philanthropy Day today so we made different crafts at all the houses. KK, so here's what I think about all the houses! I liked them all and it was hard to rank them!!


Green This was the first house we went to today. It was a little overwhelming at first because all the girls were soo loud! All of the girls here were very nice. I met a lot of girls here, it was so hard to get a sentence out because everytime I started to talk another girl would come and introduce herself. I liked these girls alot and hope that I can go back tomorrow.

Blue This was the 2nd house we went to. These girls were just as loud as the first group. I was still nervous, but not as much because I kind of knew now what to expect. The girl who was rushing me was very nice and it was her first time to rush on the other side. This was a little comforting because she was just as nervous as I was. I did feel like I was struggling to keep conversation with her though. I didn't meet as many girls here as I did at the first house. I only met about 3. Overall, these girls were very nice.

Orange This was the third house of the day. I loved this house! This was one of my top choices. These girls were very down to earth and real and seemed very interested in me. I met tons of girls at this house. They were all so nice and seemed happy to be there and be doing this. I really hope that I get to go back to this house tomorrow.

Pink This was the fourth house that we went to today. By this time, I was getting pretty tired from such a long day. I didn't really felt like I connected as well with these girls as I did at the other houses. I was really struggling to make conversation with the girl who was rushing me and there were alot of akward silences. These girls were nice, but I just didn't really feel as comfortable here as I did at the other houses.

Purple This was the last house of the day and by now I was extremely tired. This is my favorite house right now. They are also one of my top choices and I absolutely loved the girls here! They were all extremely nice and down to earth. They didn't seem fake at all, they were very real. I met quite a few girls here too and they all seemed very interested in me. I can't wait to go back to this house tomorrow!! I hope I can!!

Well, overall today was a great day! I had tons of fun so far and I have met so many wonderful girls. I've already made alot of new friends! We all got to go bowling in our Rho Chi groups tonight so that was fun and I felt like we got to know each other even better. We get our invitations at 8 AM tomorrow morning and the first party is at 9 or 10. I can't remember for sure! Well, I'll post more later on tomorrow and let ya'll know how everything went!

Yay, I got my invitations back! I'm going back to Purple , Orange , Green , and Pink . I have to meet in an hour to go to the parties!! I'm so excited and happy that I got my top 2 choices!!

Ok, I'm back from all my parties. I went to four today...they were all really good and I had alot of fun.

Green This was the first house I went to today. I loved this house even more today then yesterday! The girl I talked to today was so nice. We watched their slideshow today and that was really cute. I really liked their theme. I had alot of fun at this house and hope I can go back tomorrow. This was one of my top choices today.

Purple This was the second house I went to today. I still love this house as much as I did yesterday. All the girls here are so sweet. Their skit today was really cute also. I hope I get invited back to their house also. They were also one of my top choices today.

Pink This was the third house I went to today. I still didn't feel as comfortable in this house as I did in the others. The girls here are very nice, but I just don't feel like I fit in with them as well. Their skit was cute also. Overall, this house has really nice girls though.

Orange This was the last house I went to today. I liked this house also. I had two girls talking to me here today. They were both very nice and seemed to be interested in me. Their skit was really cute and I liked their slideshow also. These girls seemed to have alot of fun today. I would like to go back to this house also.

Overall, I had a very good day today. We get our invitations tomorrow at 8 AM again and we get to go to 3 parties tomorrow. I hope I get to go to Purple , Green , and Orange . Tonight we get to go out with our Rho Chi groups again. So that should be fun, I had fun last night when we went out with them. I feel like I get to know the girls in our group better and I'm making so many new friends. I'm so glad I decided to go through now. Ahh, I can't wait until tomorrow morning. I wish we could find out now! I'm so anxious!

Ok, I got my invitations back for Pref today! I am a little upset...I still got purple (which I am really excited about!!), but.....I'm going back to pink. I didn't even go there yesterday, and I'm really upset, but oh well. Parties are at 4, I'll be back around 6:30 to let ya'll know how it all goes.

The same thing happened to me. I was asked back to pref the one house I really loved, and another that was ok. As long as you are going to purple, you should be ecstatic!

Ok, sorry I didn't get to post earlier, but my internet has been being going off and on. I loved purple even more yesterday!! That is my #1 choice, I can't wait for bid day today!! Pink, I still just didn't feel comfortable there and I think the girl who was rushing me could tell I had my mind made up and kind of gave up on trying to convince me to go pink. Those girls are nice, but I just didn't connect w/ them like I did with purple. Ahh, I have to go to class this morning and then bid day starts at 5. I'll try to post tonight if I got to run to purple!!
