Hey lades - IO put out a brand-new website. I think it is much better than the old one, it seems more organized! Go check it out.

Wow! I am very impressed. I think this will be a great improvement over the last website. Maybe it was just me, but I couldn't ever find anything on it.

Me either - and it was a pain telling somebody where to find something. You had to say "Click on 'How Do I?' and scroll down, then click on the link that says 'Learn more about...' then blah blah blah."
I haven't seen the Members Only section, but I would assume that is improved also.

I did just notice something I don't like - you can see the addresses and phone numbers of all the chapter houses. I was told in our "Internet Guidelines" not to post the house address or phone number on our webpage except under the Recruitment section. I wonder if this policy will be changed now.

WOW!!
the new website looks GREAT!!:D
I think it's a good idea to have all of the collegiate chapters contact info on the website, so you can contact other chapters for help or ideas for events, etc.
The website looks so much better! I think the "Mom's & Dad's" section is a good idea too.
It will be a great recruitment tool for chapters that don't have websites.

One thing that bothered me - where did Cele (GPhiBLtColonel) go? I was looking at the "Prominent Alumnae" section and went to look her up since she's the only one I ever remember, and she wasn't there anymore. :(
Edited to add - I think Laurel Clark should be up there, I would consider her prominent and accomplished...

I agree that Laurel Clark should be on there. i wonder why she's not?? i still think they have alot of updating to do on the website though.
speaking of HQ, did anyone see the post by carnation in the greek life forum about extension??
does anyone here on GC (gamma phi) have pull with extension people at HQ? if it happens to be a line into who's looking to expand next, i'd hate for us to lose out.

On the two items.
Carnation's message: Cele is on the Alumnae extension team and the Membership VP is in my province. I'm waiting to hear from Cele on this one though because if it's carnation's school, we presented there very recently and I haven't heard anything since.
Website: They do have a lot of updating still. If you have been there since the first day, it's really just a soft launch and they want people to check it out, give comments and then they are going to advertise it to the whole organization. If you look closely, you'll find alumnae chapters listed in the wrong provinces. On the addresses, you are correct. Our policy says to not include the addresses of chapter houses. That would be something to send to the webmaster.
The address for comments is webmaster@gammaphibeta.org

Hey Ladies,
I noticed that there is now an EVENTS CALENDAR section of gammaphibeta.org!
members -> calendar of events -> chapter events
and you can search sorority-wide, collegiate, alumnae, search by chapter, state...
I posted our alumnae chapter's upcoming social events, and it's a neat way to see what other chapters are up to, too.
Post your events to let us know what's going on! :D
