I am moving out of my apartment today, and into another one until the end of June. My luck is poor as I live in the third floor in BOTH buildings. I will have no ethernet at all. There is one bathroom for FOUR women. The roommate that I caught in bed with my boyfriend left junk here when she left, and neither she nor the other roommate cleaned anything. I am working from 10pm tonight until 10am tomorrow morning. My sister packed all my hanging clothes in trash bags to move and they ripped.

I also realized that I ripped my pants, blew out my flip flop, and that the guy that lives downstairs from me is cute, but 18. I picked up my new car, a Subaru Wagon, and no one will hit on me anymore because they will either think I am married with kids, or I haul 50 lb bags of kitty litter because I am a single woman with 5 cats. My exboyfriend claimed to be my friend etc etc, neglected to mention that he was back with his old girlfriend and they GOT MARRIED last December. I found out because I saw her at the grocery store pregnant. My friend tells me it is okay because they will have ugly babies and the new condos that went up by his house have lowered his property value anyway.

However life isn't that bad because I have a roof over my head, food to eat, a job, and a car. My family loves me and I love that they are crazy. Last night we had our drinks paid for at Applebee's, and I mailed a care package to my friend I am besotted by. I also found a chocolate bunny from Easter and when I can finally sit down and relax, I am biting the ears and head off.

Whew I feel better than I would have had I eaten the Ben and Jerry's in my freezer.

I blew $11 on cheese garlic bread and a glass of sprite at The Cheesecake Factory last night. It wasn't even that much. Sh*t, I could've got full course meal at Applebee's for that.

I think i'm taking after my dad's frugality lately. :D:o

Don't think I won't be returning my flip flops to get a different pair, once I clear out of this fine apartment...

I was kind of cranky when the movers showed up Friday for the stuff getting shipped and they laughed at the content labels.

"Viking helmets and bowling ball"
"Electric Fondue Pot and Lamb Cake Pan"
"Box 1 of 4 Formal gowns with matching shoes, handbags, and gloves"
"Etiquette books, fake fur lamp, velvet bean bag chair"

Doesn't everyone have these items?

I forgot the to mention the moving letdowns...no free laundry in unit, and no garage. I still have two more loads before I leave.

i work at applebee's kids.....glad to know it's the place to be....just leave money, not birth control devices, as tips, please. thank you and have a nice day. :p (that was my random complaint, too....it may have been too subtle.......i may be done bitching about it, though......) ;)

She has hairy armpits as well, and I know his brother hates her. His brother would call, email and come over and tell me things about her. She also cannot cook and is quite common looking, I swore I saw her everywhere. She also has no ass, and I know that is something he appreciated on me. His loss, he has a hairy ampitted wife his brother doesn't like, and no ass to grab. I wonder if she enjoys sleeping in the house and bed I picked out with him?

This is also the same guy that forgot my birthday, spelled my name wrong on my Christmas card, and gave me a plastic flip up bristle brush with a mirror on it as a gift. I wonder WHY I was his first girlfriend at age 23? Hmmmm.

Read above for the sad saga...this and the guy that slept with my roommate are the reasons I am leaving state. Alaska has a lot of men, and we have a saying "the odds are good but the goods are ODD!!!"

No KIDDING! His loss: SO not your's!!!!!

My random complaint is rude customers:
Not to get into the whole story but I offered a solution to this upset customer's problem, the manager offered the same solotion, and then I was still stuck with them. Finally I tried to smooth things over cuz I didn't want them to be pissed so I said, "You should be happy the two of you just got married...." and right before I could say one more word she shot back, "don't try to play off our situation. Shut up, BABY, get a new line" and then walked off.

I wanted to rip up the card I wrote on promising them things and slap her fat face with it. You try to be nice and you get stabbed in the back! Sheesh...and all they wanted (trully) was their money back for something they did wrong!

The cleaning is more than halfway done.

I talked to the boy I am besotted with on the phone for almost an hour. :D

I may go to work late or not at all, they will probably understand as I did have to upheave my life this weekend.

I wish my new place was bigger

I hate my job and I hate the people who call themselves managers.

For God Sake's people can't you have one weekend where there is enough coverage? You oversheduled for Sundays, then changed people's schedules because there were to many people and you didn't want to VTO. Now we are extemely busy and what do you do? You still claim that there are too many people and have to vto. You also feel the need to let people go. We've been playing this game for a while. Just give it up and close already

I found out I was taken off the graveyard schedule and no one called me... I now work closing shifts, thanks for screwing up my sleep schedule.

I took a shower at 1 am and the water was not hot enough, even turned up all the way.

My station wagon is full of stuff still and I have to drive my old car.

Something happened with me or my alarm and I didn't wake up for my second job.

The chicks that lived there before me left trash and other junk in my apartment.

The girl that lived in my room didn't reset the voice mail apssword and I couldn't get any voicemails until IT reset it this morning.

My whole body hurts from going up and down the stairs with everything I own for two days.

I HATE THE BARE MIDRIFF TREND. Go away already. I dug it for one summer, now its been YEARS and I want to EAT without feeling guilty again please!

This whole trend of exposing the abs of women who have not chewed solid food in years just makes me feel like a fat cow. I remember back in the late 90s before this fascination with anorexic middles took hold. I had my good days and my bad days, but I certainly didn't feel as low as I do now when every flipping channel on television has some freakishly thin actress/singer flaunting her abs. What those women eat, I cannot, under any circumstance, call food. Nor do I have 6 hours a day to devote to exercise. NOR am I 20. So why am I so hard on myself. Whatever.

You have Mr Amycat so don't worry about it then.;) They may get guys to ogle at them but they are not having fun by enjoying all the yummy foods.

The cable is out.

I have four obnoxious cows living downstairs from me.

I didn't get to talk to the darling boy

My left buttcheek hurts from moving.

A moose left some "presents" behind my car in the parking lot

I have to think of one positive thing...my friend was here and felt the need to sing bad hair band ballads to me. After "To be with you" by Mr. Big, there was "Here I go again" by Whitesnake. I'm going to miss her when I leave :(

Amycat-- don't worry I'm 21 and I want the bare midriff look to go away too. I also want airbrushing to go away so men realize that even their fantasy women aren't perfect.
On VH1 they did some show with Playmates-- one playmate says she doesn't go out until she gets 3 HOURS of makeup, hair, nails, done. So next time a guy complains about taking too long to get ready remind him that he could be with a playmate that spends 3 hours on her looks!

Why doesn't my cell phone have any service when I'm at home, huh? My "home area" is so small, and I can't use the damn phone anywhere inside it! Geez.

Oh, I agree with the airbrush thing...don't know who said it, but come on, it's useless. If we got rid of it, not only would men see that these mystical magazine girls do indeed have cellulite and shiny noses like everybody else, but we girls wouldn't feel like we had to live up to such *perfection*. I hate for my little sister to read magazines full of airbrushed photos, because I don't want her to start thinking that's what she has to look like.

Sadeyes21
05-21-2003, 02:27 PM
Isaid the airbrush comment:)
also celebrities-- stop saying you are like everyone else bc you're not the only thing in common is you eat, go to the bathroom etc, but even then someone probably helps you. You make more money than most people make in their life yet you complain that it's not enough and you're life is too hard. You get to visit more places and do things most of us will never havethe chance to do.
You praise/ make excuses for sex offenders (Roman Polansky), theives (Winona Ryder), adultery etc. SO no you are not like the rest of us.

Why do jr. high gilrs get to wear so much make up now? I was not allowed to wear makeup back then. They look twice their age!

The stupid trifling selfish obnoxious cow...your car shouldn't be parked on the walkway int he courtyard to begin with...so we shouldn't hear your car alarm FOUR TIMES after midnight. You could also clean upt he broken glass from your car window so the little boy downstairs doesn't cut himself.

To the four whorish egocentric monkey looking tricks in the apartment downstairs, I hate you and your noise, and so does the family below you with the four year old. It is on and you don't want to deal with me or them. I don't want to hear your cellphone ringtones or conversations, and neither does anyone else!!!

I have been closing the store and getting home at midnight, and I am up again at 6 a.m. to go to my other job. I came home from job #1 this morning and when I went to the bathroom I noticed my underwear were on inside out. I cannot use the excuse that I got dressed in the dark as there is plenty of daylight during Alaska summers.

Why do you think I live a few thousand miles away from my mother? Even when I move I'll be in the same time zone, yet a two day drive away. I forgot to mention I had chicken curry for lunch, and wiped my eye, then it started watering from the curry. Some days I exemplify the blonde stereotype.

If I went to New York and someone was pissy towards me, I wouldn't hate New York forever.. it's great and that is one person out of however thousands... but umm... i guess that's just me

also in the whole American Idol threads w/ some of the Clay fans slamming anyone who said anything bad about him. WHO CARES what the judges said.. are they sad because Paula didn't use the whole fake church analogy with Clay? AGH

I'm just frustrated.. everyone just seems mad lately and there really isn't any need to be.

Like people are talking trash about the Mavs, but that's OK... if they're losing, yea that sucks, but I'm not going to go in there and slam everyone for liking the Spurs.. it's just a game, and I know some of the people there are just kidding around anyway.. so there really is no need to get all defensive ... it's all in good fun! It's raining a ton here up north too - rain today, yesterday, and forecasted for tomorrow in Boston. Not a great Memorial Day weekend, as far as the weather goes.

I don't like my job and I would like a new one please.

Dear Management,

We both know that this contract has been dead since day one. A big mistake. So do us all a favor and pull the plug on this and let it die. Stop pretending that you have a fighter on your hands. Stop pretending that somehow this is a good contract. You know this is a piece of crap. I know this is a piece of crap. I know the customers think that our product is a piece of crap. So let do us all a favor and end this. I swear my feelings will not be hurt if it just ended. I'd be better off. I would. I don't want to pressure you or anything. But I think we both know where this is headed and how it needs to end. So just think about it.

Thanks alot,

tnxbutterfly

Believe me it beats rooming with someone who is responsible for MAKING those little sounds that would drive you nuts.

I've lived by myself now for almost a year and I've roomed with three different people in the past four years. I love living alone for many reasons...but it is sometimes nice to have someone around to sooth your nerves. That's when I just double check locks, sleep with my tv on sleep timer, and keep my cell phone close by just in case. But really, I feel safe because of the area I live in so I usually don't worry (for example right now my patio door is open and I live on the bottom level and I'm in the other room).

From Anchorage, up north towards Fairbanks, then east into the Yukon Territory, south back into Alaska. Board a ferry in Haines, AK on a Monday afternoon, arrive in Bellingham, WA the following Friday morning. To just south of Portland, OR for that weekend, then to San Francisco. I could easily head further south of San Francisco if the copilot desired. Plenty of flights out of Seattle, Portland, the Bay Area, or greyhound and Amtrak for the TRULY adventurous!!!

Come on, who doesn't want to take two weeks out of their life to drive through parts of Alaska and Canada, and then spend 5 days on a FERRY? We call it "the poor man's cruise". You'll even get free food and beer in Oregon!!!

I wouldn't mind living alone, if I had a security alarm. How ingenious is that? :) Whenever I decide to buy a house, the one requirement will be a working alarm.

And, it's not like I live on the crime ridden part of town; I just haven't felt safe since my car was rummaged through about a month and a half ago. Before that, I, too, would leave my patio open while I was in the other room.

My roommate has gone to Mississippi for grad school this summer, so this is the first time I have ever lived completely alone. It's going to be a *LONG* month or two.

My friend with the codependent issues is coming back today, and she knows I have issues with her and I don't want to get into it for my last 2.5 weeks here. No matter what I say or how I say "you are incapable of being single, and I am sick of your boy/man drama/issues" it is going to turn ugly.

I was allegedly on the work schedule today which I (honestly) didn't know about. I don't want to go to work or class, I just want to leave this place. I could never go to that job again, how irresponsible is that?

My father died on a Friday the 13th two years ago...this is likely part of my hostility/anger/general dislike of 99.9% of people I have talked to today...and it isn't even NOON yet. Friday is going to be a day from hell.

I wanted to have curry/chinese for lunch but as I have had an upset tummy all night, and I feel like I am going to hurl on an empty stomach it may be a bad idea.

I had to turn my crush lose...after a couple of years of keeping in touch, and his repeated utterances of "I want to be your boyfriend, you make me feel happy/special/loved/important etc." but nothing other than words I have to put a stop to it. He lives in another state but repeatedly I offered to buy his tickets to come visit, or come visit myself. I hate this feeling of beeing good enough for myself but never enough for anyone else.

I don't think my stuffed goat can take much more of me this week.

I work with little kids, and totally understand their frustration now when they tell me "so and so cut in front of me in line!" Yesterday while shopping at American Eagle, I was the 4th person in line. I kind of had to curve to the left of the guy in front of me, because of a display table. Well, the 1st person was done, so the line was moving up, and this lady and her daughter come up and stand directly behind the guy in front of me, but to the right of him. I guess since she approached from the other side, she didn't see me already standing in line. So we are basically standing side by side. So when the guy is finally checking out, she is yapping on her cell phone, yelling at her daughter simultaneously, and she puts her 1 pair of underware on the counter. As the cashier is handing the receipt to the guy in front of me, I put my stuff on the counter and I go "I'm next in line." And this woman looks at me like I am smoking crack and says "OOOOOHHHH, well go right ahead." To which I replied "Yeah, thanks." I mean really, did you think because you are a "grown up" you can cut in front of me in line? I think not. And that is why I hate shopping in Orlando. People with wanna-be New York attitudes + 97 degree temps. = Bad mood for shopping!

But I did have a very successful shopping day, finding a pair of Reef flip flops that I had been dying to get, and enjoying sales at A&F.

I wish the stupid secretary with her stupid kid (who has to go to summer school he's so dumb) would just stay home. She lets the kid wander around the office aimlessly all day. He uses the computer when I need it, jacks my chair when I get up to get something....hello, they are paying me to do legal work. You are an 8 year old retard. It's a really laid back office. Lots of the employees kids come around, but they go sit in the upstairs kitchen and watch a movie. This kid clings by his mom, jacks my chair when i get up, gets on the computer I need.

And I think the secretary doesn't like me because she sensed I was annoyed at her kid. Well, guess what woman - in 2 years, I'll be a laywer and you'll still be a secretary. So, nyyyhhhh! :p

What is it in general with kids that act like they have NO sense and EVEN WORSE their parents LET THEM???!!! I used to have a co-worker who would sometimes bring the darling little boy in to work and he would drive me BATTY! He thought that since I was the secretary that that made me babysitter-in-charge. I was UGH about that!

Also, now that I do PartyLite candle parties, DO NOT let your bratty kid come and pick my isht up! Especially while its LIT! I had a 4 year old who came to my show and picked up one of my Ariana fairies (which holds THREE candles - all lit of course) and she tries to walk off with it -- I looked at her mom and she was just smiling saying "oh, isn't that pretty sweety?" -- I'm like PUT IT DOWN!!!!! I would STILL be dusting myself off from the smack my momma woulda gave me had I done something like that!

And what is UP with these *new age* or whatever mommies and daddies that tell me "we don't use the word "no" to our child - it inhibits his sense of creativity and independence" --- I'm like WTH? How bout we foster that sense with a big NO to mommy and daddy for being dumb as a bag of rocks!

Trying to recoup from losing wallet Wed (7/2)....the part that sucks the most I w/d from atm and lost over $120 (some of it was bill $$) and whoever found my wallet made 2 charges 2 minutes apart at the same local Unocal sp? gas station that evening.

After waiting 2.5 hrs at DVM, replacing / cancelling cards, teacher discount card, (and the worst 3 uncashed checks need to be replaced - [2 personal checks, 2 -$20 gift cards all gifts from
MA/Graduation party] and 1 from school dist for reimbursed classroom expenses).

The only thing left now is to get the (4) teacher discount cards replaced & auto gym membership payments to new credit card .I just hate that "naked feeling" (you have almost nothing) you get when victimized; I have still my checkbook but can't write checks to stores w/ temp DL or pay bills online or by phone w/ATM/VISA card UGH....

A note to those reading this:

So far no other cards were used before they were cancelled & new ones ordered. I hope to do a phone or online police report Between Sat to Mon. Then I will be notifing the 3 major reporting credit agencies but I think I need a report/case # 1st. I know better than to carry my Soc Sec card b/c with that and DL crooks can easily open accounts in your name if you have splendid credit.

I just spent all morning walking all over Chicago O'Hare airport. 4, count 'em, FOUR gate changes. And not nice little "go down to the next gate" changes - I'm talking "walk the whole length of the terminal" gate changes.

At one of these gates, there were three flights scheduled to depart within half an hour of each other from the same gate.

I hate my job right now!

I have been with the company over 8 years. I was just informed I wasn't getting a raise. My former boss gave me a nasty annual review before she quit. So the VP had to come down and inform me I was getting squat this year.

So unfair. When I came on board in this department it was after a 4 month lay off. They told me after I started that I was not getting my seniority back! I used to love this company.

On the upside, I have decided that I hate the corporate environment, so I am applying to a teacher training program for college grads. I can hopefully student teach & get paid next year at the same time! I love business, technology and the theories behind them. I just can't stand being treated as a number or a robot, I am not interested in playing the game.

I did a good job, I have lost benefits, and I am a single mom these things really hurt. And now I don't get an increase? I am done!

Thanks for the props everyone. My VP said I should have a new boss in 3-6 months and I will be able to start over. And I told him what happened with my review, including that it is the worst I have received in eight years. But I was given no comfort. I have just given up putting my heart into the job. I went there like Thursday and they were out of chips, I came back today after church and they still were out of chips. On top of that, the cashier was hungover. He didn't even tell me that they were out of chips today, he just whispered to his fellow cashier that they were out, and refunded my money back without telling me what he was doing.

*Dear neighbor, ummm hello your pet DOBERMAN is on the loose. That was like the third loose dog I seen this week, they weren't homeless because they were well groomed and had collars.

*I went to pick up my order of contacts today, I stood there like 5 minutes before she asked can she help me. The doctor asked me how was the trial pair of contacts, I said that the left one gets blurred when I first put them in, he said that's not unsual if you don't put in your contact with the marks pointing at 3:00 or 9:00, ummm why didn't you tell me this last time.

Why do bridal stores only carry one sample of a dress, in a size 4 or 6? I might be inclined to buy a dress from someone if I could actually see how it fit on my size 10 body. I don't understand why they just don't get the equivalent of a 10 or 12 and then clip it in the back when its too big, rather than having anyone bigger than a 6 and a B cup be able to zip the damn dress.

I hate it when I take my time to send people a long, well thought email and they don't even email me back. That is sooooo aggravating. I hate it when I send people a birthday card and they don't even acknowledge it. You know..... thank you goes a long way.

I don't understand why they just don't get the equivalent of a 10 or 12 and then clip it in the back when its too big, rather than having anyone bigger than a 6 and a B cup be able to zip the damn dress.

I tell you, you just can't win either way! When I was getting married, the only samples the stores had were in size 10s or 12s! I would have killed for a size 4 or 6 sample. I could not get any idea of what a dress was supposed to look like, because I always ended up looking like a refugee from a Charmin factory explosion. No wonder it took me six months to find that damn dress!

So we're having some electrical work done on the house, and we've had a few people out to do estimates. Most electricians will do this for free.

But, someone came out to the house today and then CHARGED me for the estimate!!!!! $50.00!!!!!

My husband had called them, so I thought they'd told him about the charge and he decided to accept it. Shame on me for making that assumption, shame on him for not answering my calls or my page to confirm.

At least I had the presence of mind to put it on my credit card, so we can dispute the charge.

Oh, and his quote was more than twice as much as anyone else's.

If you live in or around Fairfield County, CT, PM me and I'll tell you who NOT to use for your electric or plumbing.

Random Complaint!! My boyfreinds ex-gurlfreind is constantly calling him for cheap car parts (he works or cars) and to tell him her where-abouts for the weekend. He cliams that they ended on good terms and that since they used to live together he claims they have the same friends! I hate it sooo much. I tell him to stop talking to her but he said that would only make her talk sh*t about to him to "their" freinds and she would end up hating me!! He said he is afraid she may cause a scene the next time we are all in the same place!!?? Talk about D-R-A-M-A!

*Did I mention he dumped her for me..so lets just say she doesnt like me too much*

Mayor Murphy, you are a stupid dumb asshat.

We just received word today that Lord & Taylor is pulling out of the downtown business district only 3 years after they got here. Basically Murphy gave them all sorts of federal grants and pretty much begged them to come here, as he did with Lazarus. We are getting walked on, because his actions invite it. If he wouldn't have been so fixated on his "Plan B" (aka put in stores that no one can afford and get rid of all the stores where blacks or poor people shop) and had just concentrated on fixing and improving what was already there, we wouldn't be in this state with taxpayers paying this crap to begin with.

And this is the jerk's second term in office. How he got re-elected I'll never, ever know...

The fire alarm went off as I was getting ready to go out. The few of us here tromp outside. The fire department shows up and can't get in the building. I had to SWIPE THEM IN!!! Where the hell was our RA, or any neighboring one? Oh and the fire escape slides are PADLOCKED SHUT. I could easily bust the door down to get in them, but we'd be trapped at the bottom.

There is a mysterious flood of water that is an inch deep and they didn't clean up, big hazard. The exterior light is still out (three requests in two weeks).

Housing you have until Tuesday to take some action or I am calling the Dean of Students, which oversees your office.

Oh and can my neighbors not puke and piss in the parking lot, get in fist fights are hire craptastic bands? Your DJ sucks and a one armed man could spin better tunes. Your speakers also suck invest in new ones if you feel the need to blare DMB every g-damn day!!!

P.S. I had a prank phonecall last night. They informed me my phone number spells BOOB.

Ok so last Friday I was supposed to have a heart MRI and then of course it got cancelled because of the blackout. So they moved to yesterday at 7:30 pm. Then on Thursday they called me to tell me that it was cancelled. So my mom works in the hospital and she was like I'm gonna see what I can do. And she called the people and the only time they could schedule me for was on Monday morning at 7am!!! How freaking annoying is that?! Grr I'm pissed. I just wanna get this done with already to find out that everything's ok.

So my parent's tell me to save money, pay off my debt, then buy a car...blah blah blah

But yet they tell me that they can't afford to pay the rest of my tuition right now cuz of other expenses...that's like $864....and that I'm going to have to get my own health and dental insurance in like 2 months....

And then they tell me to take advantage of their health insurance while I can, yet when I told my mom I was thinking about having surgery on my sinuses (cuz they've been a major pain in my butt my whole life) they don't want to help....

Can I get screwed over anymore?

I just hope I made you laugh, this was after many, and I mean MANY rum and diet cokes. My spelling and typing are pretty incredible for the state I was in. The servers and bartenders know us, so the drinks are a light brown since they use clear rum. I do remember the "Delt Alum" (he was sporting a bid day shirt from a different yet local University/chapter) sending us a round. The bouncers bought us one too.

My poor friend had to cool things off with her man. I am not sure which exactly was the straw. The other night he peed on a car, flashed a band at the bar, mooned me and a friend, tried to buy drugs, and told a crazy story about alleged murder chrages that were brought against him...

College is fun!
