From the Beta Theta Pi website (http://www.betathetapi.org)

I'm super stoked about this philanthropy which is coming to our campus in the coming year. If we can even have 5% of the success that Penn State has had with this it would be amazing for the state of Nebraska!!!1

What are some of the other successes you guys have had with Dance-a-thons???

Can you guys give me an idea of how yours are set up? I'm planning on joining a planning commitee to help set up the first annual Nebraska dance-a-thon so I'd love to have some ideas to bring to the table.

We do Dance Marathon at UF. PM me with any questions. Our's is for the Children Miracle Network. Fortunately we only have to stand for 32 hours... I heard Penn State's is for 48!

I spoke to one of the Greek Life staff at Penn state once, and he said that one of the problems with the Dance Marahon there is that it has taken on a life of its own.

ITs the single biggest thing that Greeks do on that campus and dominates everyone's programming.

There is a lot of self imposed and peer pressure to raise the most amount of money (they compete) and to beat last years numbers.

Some of the Greek's there have wished that the Marathon wasn't quite such a big deal.

But congratulations to them :)
