Back to school sisterhood ideas

We have defered rush at my school and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on back-to-school sisterhood events. I feel that we really need to show the freshwomen on my campus that Alpha Gams have a great sisterhood. One way was by having a back-to-school craft, something we could do outside of our house to show the fun we have. Candles and Masks (we have a Mardi Gras party within the first few weeks of classes)but can anyone think of any other ideas. Cheaper is better too!

This wasn't really a back to school idea, but for homecoming this past year we did a parent/alumnae barbeque. I think it went over really well, and this way PNMs can tell their parents about how sororities do try to include parents.

We had a dinner for the alumnae. We split up what to bring (main dish, dessert, drinks, spoons, etc) and it was pretty successful and fun :0)
