I was wondering what your chapter gives new members on Bid Day.

At the New Member Presentation on Bid Day, our chapter gives our new members their Bid Day Shirts, red/buff/green balloons, and a red and buff rose. Then we go back to the house and barbeque or order pizza/subs.

On Bid Day we gave our new members their Bid Day t-shirt, red, buff and green ballons, candy of some sort, and usually one or two other Alpha Gam items like a water bottle or a notepad and pen...you get the idea

I hear ya, ilovemyglo! Bid Day is usually on Sunday so Monday night we take our new girls to Greek Night at the bar. It's usually packed because every chapter tries to bring their new girls so we have to get there early!

Leslie-
Our bid day is on a Sunday too and we are not allowed to have any alcohol with new members until after 3PM on Monday so that night we throw a huge party and if they choose to drink, well.... it is just like any other college student at a party, you know?

Almost every sorority at my school gives a bid day shirt and then we have a huge cookout. That night we hang posters on their doors and streamers (like huge squirrels everywehre and everything). The next night we throw a party for them at someone's apartment (usually a house of a boyfriend of a sister) and invite all the new girls and their friends (this also helps with COB later!). This year we are having a bid day cook out theme to go with our rush skit.. kind of a luau! It is going to be a blast! I am so excited about new members and sisterhood events and rush! I wish we were already back at school! Love and loyalty, Sarah
