HOOSIER SAID:
National Newspaper columnist Thomas Sowell (a black conservative) has an interesting column today in the Atlanta newspaper (try at accessatlanta.com) about the poor academic performance of black students at most levels. He supports, with data from recent books, that many of these just don't work hard, in part because they know that affirmative action will partially insure their success.

I am still looking for the actual column. I will post it here when I do. Hoosier was kind enough to imbed it in the Blacks and Phi Kappa Psi thread on Greek Life forum.

there is such an item in the paper, but it's not on the website. let me put this in context for you. what our dear friend hoosier is refering to isn't a news article. it's a letter to the editor. if you have access to the printed paper, it's on the bottom of page A13 & titled "No More Excuses for Black Students." I haven't read it (yet).
